I have a 2nd cousin (twice removed) buried at Lincon Development Cemetery. I found a Illinois death index of him showing that he died as a patient on Dec. 9, 1925. I see that you took the cemetery picture. I read an old article about the Lincoln Developmental Mental facility and it stated that you have to get permission to go on the cemetery grounds. Is that true? I have had a photo request for a couple of years posted on findagrave with no bites. I thought maybe going their in the spring and take a look around. I am from southern Illinois and it would be about 100 miles + away. But if I have to get permission who do I see? Thanks so much.

Dimsdale
Cindy, I have researched this problem, and I will be able to get a photo of the stone of "Amanda L. Brown Dimsdale" next week after the bad weather passes. Apparently she is listed by her birth name, and the stone says Elizabeth G. Dimsdale. Apparently her stone bears no dates, however she is buried next to her husband Henry. Allison

Hi Cindy,
As requested I have uploaded the picture I was talking about. Next time I go I will do a double check, but I'm pretty sure that the stone should be in that spot.

Olaf Johnson
Hi Cindy,
I was out at Hazelwood Cemetery trying to fill requests today, one of them being yours for Olaf Johnson...anyways I found the place that his headstone SHOULD be...but all that is there is an open space. The other gravestone around the blank area indicate that if a stone were to be there, it WOULD be OO-2-10. All graves around it follow the numerical sequence. Would u like to have the pic I took? Wasn't sure if I should still upload to his name or not, so I welcome your direction in the matter.
Cheers!
Marilyn

Memorial #98401453 - Caroline "Carrie" Matilda Brooks Young
Cindy:

Hi! I notice that the above memorial has a duplicate by RobMinteer57. His memorial number is 99250807.

If Carrie and her family are not your relatives, would you transfer ownership to me? Carrie was an aunt of my maternal grandmother, and I am going to try to have other Brooks family members transferred to me also.

I will be contacting Rob Minteer to see if he will transfer also, and if so, I will attempt to merge the two memorials.

Thank you for any help you may provide!

Harry Roberts
Cindy: Harry Roberts was buried next to the Shanahans in the same block of 71A in IOOF Cemetery of Lake County, Oregon.
There are two photos of this block that I took. The first with the leaves on the grass and the second today with no leaves on the grass. Would you be placing a grave marker over Harry Roberts?

RE: Crofton & Ridge Top Cemeteries
I am working to get the cemeteries merged. I have found family members who have joint markers listed under the two different cemeteries. The majority of the memorials listed under Crofton Cemetery have been transferred to Ridge Top by the contributors/creators. I am also working with another member in the area to come up with the best solution to correct this. Thanks again for your help.

RE: Crofton & Ridge Top Cemeteries
Cindy,

I am not from Christian County, so I was not positive. This afternoon, my husband and found the majority of the markers for the memorial that are set up as "Crofton Cemetery" in Ridge Top Cemetery, and I made photographs to verify their location. I will post the photographs and send requests that the memorials be transferred to Ridge Top. I hope this information is helpful.

Millie Elizabeth Bean Emery @ New Union
Hi Cindy - I wondered if I could have your permission to use Millie's tombstone photo on my Ancestry tree? She was my great grand aunt and until today I didn't know where she was buried! Very exciting to stumble on the family. Thank you for all you do for find-a-grave. Pat

Gustav & Margaretta Schoth marker photo
Hello Cindy,

Thanks so much for posting a photo to Gustav and Margaretta Schoth's memorials (Atlanta Cemetery #55082799 and #55082833). I would like to ask permission to use your photo on my Ancestry tree. I realize that many do not want their photos posted there, so please know that I will respect your wishes and that I am very grateful for your time volunteering, regardless of your response.

Take care,
Mary :)
