Your father
Hi, Donna. You mention on Arnold Clarence Rezac's page that he was your father. I also see his wife was Maureen Craig.

I believe that the Maureen Craig listed as your father's spouse was likely my Great Aunt--sister of Barbara Craig & Daughter of Calvin & Margaret Craig--of whom I have been learning about. The exact DOB and father match up with what I know.

I was hoping to correspond with you about Maureen, and Arnold, to see if we are describing the same people. I can provide further details on Maureen and her family, as well.

I look forward to hearing from you!

The writing on the gravestone is not visible in the picture and barely visible in real life. The following is what I could barely read and some of the letters are guessing. I didn't put it on the memorial, because I thought you would like to look at it first and see if you could figure out the Czech: RUH CIRKEV. VLAST! Zde U Bunu odu ociun, MARTIN RERUCHA, ZEMREL, 25 BREZNAL. P. 1913, VE STARI, 63 ROKU a 5 MES., Udpociuej u pokoji! ROZALIE 1848 1927 RERUCHA

It was quite interesting to try to figure this much out. A friend who was helping me was trying to read it like Braille.

After contacting the Diocese, I have found that there is a HUGE chain link fence around this entire property. It is owned and managed by the Marshall family, and they are the ONLY headstones readily seen in this cemetery. The diocese stated that there may be others, but there are not kept up, or managed by anyone, and will be TOTALLY unaccesible to anyone. The church grounds are open to the public only one day a year...All Saints Day.

Your quite welcome! My only regret is that of 7 graves I was looking for that day, I could only find your Great Aunt's.

Sallie Alldridge
Donna,
Thank you for sponsoring Sallie's memorial! Is she a relative of yours? She is not related to me, so I would be glad to transfer.

Mary T Burks
Hi Donna,

I was able to return to the Covington Cemetery today to retake the photos of the west-facting headstones. I've replaced the photo for Mary's memorial. If you'll send me your e-mail address, I'll send you the 2 photos I took, full-sized (not scaled down for her memorial page.) You'll be able to enlarge these in your computer.

RE: Burks
I have a good deal of general information, not a lot of "very specific" information. My husband descends from Roland Harrison Burk's daughter,
Elizabeth Ann Burks who married (b. 1832) who
married James L. Waldie.

RE: Elizabeth Burks
Can you be more specific with dates, etc.?
The Roland Harrison Burk that I am familiar with
married Mary Pratt.

The Abner Deweese that I have information on married Frances Coker & Catherine Smith. I have information on both the Deweese and Burk lines, but need more information to identify who you are seeking information about.

Glad to help if I have anything to help.

Sallie A. Burks
Donna,
I didn't create the memorial for Sallie Burks, someone named Steve did. You will need to contact him.
Sorry,
Maggie
