RE: Isaac Fuller
Hi Dailey:
Here is the link to my blog on Maine Gen. Network.

There are three posts: "They Were Minutemen," "They Marched," and "Irregular Warfare," about the Revolutionary War service of Isaac Fuller and my other gggg grandfather, Freeman Ellis.

I hope you find these informative.

Isaac Fuller
Hello Dailey:
I am another Fuller cousin. Isaac and Lydia were my four times great-grandparents. Several years ago I had their gravestones cleaned and reset on new footings. I didn't get over that way this summer, but I assume that there was a flag on the gravestone. I have info about Isaac's military service that I would be happy to share with you.

RE: Mary Jane Cato
Hi, Jennifer.
Sorry for the delay, but I was waiting for information on your Cato search from a local man who has researched much of the graveyard.
There's good and bad news.

There are TWO Cato's here!

Sarah Jane Cato & Thomas Cato.
There is no Mary Jane Cato, but we believe Sarah Jane Cato is Mary Jane (names were often transcribed incorrectly back then) as the age and date of burial are the same/very close.

Name: Sarah Jane Cato
Date (of burial): Feb 24, 1854
Age: 13 Years
Officiating: Reverend C. Thompson, Vicar.

Name: Thomas Cato
Date (of burial): March 23, 1869
Age: 14 Days
Officiating: Reverend C. Thompson, Vicar.

Sadly, it appears that both of these children were buried in what is known as the "old churchyard", which unfortunately has many missing headstones, and the grave records are located elsewhere and may not be complete (the church sends its old records to a central depository I believe, in another town) - so the graves cannot currently be located, sorry.
There are a few pictures of the church and churchyard on my flickr pages which i linked in the first message. I will be taking more soon, as it is one of my favourite places.

I do hope the above information is of use.
We could not see if there was a link between the two Cato's, though since Carville is part of Wallsend, it is likely that they could be from the same family - Cato is not a common name here.

Incidentally, I did know a Cato family who live(d) nearby, some 10-15 years ago, though I have since lost touch with them.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do!
Yours, David.
Merry Christmas!

re:Mary Jane Cato
Hi. I live across the street from the Walker Churchyard where Mary Jane Cato is buried. I would be happy to try and locate her grave and photograph it if you still need this done.

Sadly the churchyard is in some disrepair, many graves no longer have headstones, and many more are no longer visible at all. The church itself is beautiful.

I have some photos of the church, and churchyard here:

It's on private property, way back in the back of their property on Old McMahan Road off of Highway 20. I know how to get there, but don't know that actual address.

Hi Jennifer,

You are welcome to use my picture of Abigail (Webster) Merrill. I was pleased to be able to find her grave fairly easily.

RE: Paul Morrill
That's Absolutely fine, Jennifer. Please do. I was very disappointed to see the condition of this cemetery. It is extremely small and very old. I don't think there were more than 15-20 graves.I believe this is one the town does not maintain and it appears to me that no one does. The grass was very tall and is was full of weeds.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Michelle
