Wethersfield Village Cemetery Wethersfield CT
I went to this cemetery and found the tabletop gravestone of James/Mary Lockwood d 1772/1794. Mary's first name has been repaired by plaster and is unreadable but part of her last name is there and the death year. They had a son William who died in 1752 but the gravestone is missing...will post all the photos soon for James/Mary/William.
Good luck with your genealogy,

Mary Lockwood
The information you requested is available at the Wethersfield Historical Society - under her husband's name.

If you go to the site and enter her husband's name you will see his name. If you click on his name the photograph of the monument and the inscription will come up.

I do not copy the photo or the inscription as I don't know the policies of the Historical Society and could not locate it on the site. I am sure they would appreciate the acknowledgement of their efforts to document everyone in the cemetery. As well as being the owners of the photographs.

Thank you for your cooperation in letting the recipients of the information on the Find-A-Grave memorials. The work done by the society to not only document everyone but to list the GPS location should they choose to go to the Cemetery is a huge assistance to anyone looking for family.

I hope this assists you in your research, jane

Sarah Coleman Healy
I studied the monument for Hugh Healy very carefully and saw artwork carved on the right hand side but no lettering. My opinion would be that since she passed after Hugh the lettering for her was never completed. I also took photos if you would like me to email them.
