I am surveying several pioneer cemeteries, with a fellow volunteer, in my home county of Faulk in SD. I just linked Ida Voigt Boehnke to her mother and father, whose memorials you maintain. Are you related? Do you have any history that she lost a child when she died? Or another cause of death? Pictures and obits are always sought after!

RE: John D Quiett
I'm still working on it. The Benton Co. Historical Society is working on it for me. The obit says he is buried in the Gentry Cemetery but his is not on the list of burials. They are doing further research. Will let you know if we can't find where he is buried.

Vera Grimme
Memorial Park said there is no Vera Grimme there, so I looked for her obiturary and found she was Vera E Allner.
Here is a link to her obituary.

I will call again to get her location so I can get her picture.

Quiett Family
Hello Rosalie,

My connection to the Quiett family is through Fidella Eward who married Greeup Quiett. Fidella is the daughter of my Mary Mitchell & James Eward.

Mary Mitchell-Eward is my great-great-great aunt. Fidella was my 1st cousin 4x removed. So Fidella & Greenups children are my 2nd cousins 3x removed.

I've spent a number of years researching the Mitchell family and collateral lines, Great to see another Quiett researcher. When I first started researching that family I felt alone not many people researching Quiett which is kind of sad they have a strong history in America as does the Mitchell & Eward families.

Scott McAninch
I got out to Vaught Ridge and got a picture of Scott's marker. It is a beautiful black stone--very shiny. When I got back, I discovered my reflection in it.

If you want I can upload it and in a couple of weeks I'll get back out there and try at a different time of day. Let me know. Otherwise I'll wait till I get out there again.
