P C Schlesselman
Schlesselman in Jim Wells Co.
Hello Jean,

I am trying to find out more about
# 73505670 Heinrich ‘Henry’ Schlesselman 1903-1949
# 73947637 Lena M Schlesselman Martens 1907-1981

And you seem to know about families in Jim Wells Co.

Do you happen to know any more about the Ancestors, or descendants of these two?

I found a rather sloppy census entry (from Chicago) that might include Lena

RE: Madison Harwell Cemetery
Jean,
It occurred to me after I emailed you last that this cemetery was probably on the "Old Harwell Place", as my relatives called it.
Several years ago, the owners left the house unlocked all the time, and the gate at the dirt road open--more or less a public road open to adjoining neighbors. My cousin, who lived very close, and my young children and I would take a Sunday afternoon walk and wander back there from time to time. The yard was kept clean for a house that wasn't occupied, yet I don't recall a cemetery near the house.
If it is, I don't think that would be where my Gr-Grandmother was buried, because my cousin said that her and the others' burial place was back more toward Agnew Road. She said that it had grown up badly all around it, and she died with dementia a couple of years ago, so I guess the graveyard's location passed on with her generation. However, I've enjoyed touching base with you, knowing that you were actually one of the "Harwell" family members. Happy Thanksgiving!

Madison Harwell Cemetery
Hi Jean,
I noticed that you have added pictures of graves from this cemetery, and I had to ask you some questions, as my Great-Grandmother, Luvenia Fry Willis, and two of her children are buried in a about this same location.
I was told several years ago, by an older relative, (who then lived on Mayfield road and has since passed on), that this cemetery had become very difficult to reach, because of woods and under-growth. I feel this is the same cemetery. Do you know of any others in that same locality between Mayfield and Agnew Rd? How difficult was it for you to get to graves?
Thanks for your help.

John Dulin
RE: George Family
My connection/association is via Tabitha Louise
McCall George. She was the daughter of Ann S. (Lacy) McCall. Ann was the wife/widow of Robert H. McCall, who died here in Rusk County, Texas shortly after his arrival in 1862. Robert H. McCall was a brother to my great great grandmother Dorcas Ann (McCall) Dulin. I have been trying to gather information on all of Robert H. and Ann's children. Most of their children, as far as I can determine, died either unmarried or without issue. The only brother of Tabitha and Dorcas, was named David McCall. He died single during the Civil War, while serving in Captain Harvey A. Wallace's Company. You can email me at: jdruskco@gmail.com. However, I will be leaving on a trip beginning this Friday and will return home on Monday evening, September 24th. Anything that you might have on Tabitha's children would be appreciated. I do have some of the "possible" McCall lineage back a couple of generations. Also some Lacy material as well.

George Family
Are you a descendant of William A. and Tabitha Louise (McCall) George? If so I would like to hear from you. You have gathered quite a bit on their children.

barren run
Hi Jeanne I got the Transcript from Elizabeth Historical Society. I have also talked to the manager and his wife wife the records are extremely spotty the previous manager barely kept any records so the unmarked graves, there is no way to be sure unless we can find the funeral homes who buried people in Barren Run and compile a list of known burials but there is no way to no where they are in the cemetery. My paternal grandparents fall in that category there obituaries put them in the cemetery but there graves were never marked so it is anybody's guess. Kathi

Hi Jeanne When you get time can look at the hoenshels in Barren Run Cemetery West. County The transcript I am working from has them all spelled the same but the ones that already have photos are spelled different and entered wrong. I added 13 that you might want to put photo requests to as it will be awhile before I can get to this cemetery to take photos. My friend Franny and I are going to start Brush Creek. So I wont get to Barren Run before fall maybe somebody else will do the requests before i can get there if not I will get them when I go later this year. Let me know if you want the ones I added transferred. Kathi

Jean,
You are quite welcome for everything. I was glad that I was able to help a fellow genealogist find some information that they didn't know. Good luck on your future searches.
