Memorial Edit
Hi Gail, I made a few edits to some of your memorials, but.....I messed up. I re-edited it to correct it.

Ira H "Pete" Keown (1917-1957) is not the father of Thelma Stoops Loccisano (1919-1997). He is her brother.

Katherine F Pringle Keown (1896-1972) is both Ira's and Thelma's mother.

Cochran family - White Oak
Dear Ms. Slater -
My name is Dianne Kunz. I am trying to resolve a problem in my Cochran line. I have many sources that show James Cochran 1806-1832 married Jane Richardson, however, there is a grave in White Oak Springs Presbyterian Cemetery that states - Jane McConnell Cochran died Aug 1874, aged 72y wife of James.
Your name is shown as listing/photographing the White Oak Springs cemetery. There is a picture of the tombstone of James Cochran but not a picture of Jane's stone. I would like to hire your services to return to White Oak and take a photo of Jane McConnell Cochran's tombstone.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you -
PS - I was in contact with you a short time ago regarding James's stone and the wording "Rockbridge Co".

RE: Nancy Slater
I'm glad we got that puzzle figured out. You may want to contact the creator of her memorial and ask that she transfer it to you since you are family. If not send her additional information with your sources. Susan

Nancy Slater/Allegheny Church Cemetery
Please check out memorial 127451457 for Jennie Slater. I believe this is actually Nancy Virginia Slater, 2nd wife of David H. Slater. I have attached her death certificate to that memorial. According to this death certificate the name was spelled "Jinnie" which is short for Virginia. In the cemetery, Jennie Slater is buried beside Sarah Tannehill, her mother. David H. Slater is buried in the next lot over. They all have the same design of monuments, all the Tannehill's, Jennie/Jinnie and David. You also said Nancy Virginia Jennie/Jinnie was married to a "Stevenson" and a "Hall". The informant on the death certificate is Fred Hall. I can find no death certificate for Nancy Virginia Tannehill Slater. I also found John & Sarah Tannehill on the 1870 US Census as husband and wife with Nancy V. Tannehill as daughter. So in my opinion Jennie Slater #127451457 is the Nancy Virginia Slater you have been in search of. Susan

RE: Nancy Slater
Gail, I have searched for your Nancy many times. I cannot find anything on her on Ancestry.Com except that she had a obituary May 19, 1911 in the Parker Phoenix, page 4. I cannot access that film to see if she was indeed buried at Allegheny Church Cemetery. She should have a Pennsylvania Certificate of Death and I cannot find record of that either. I checked on Find a Grave with last names Stevenson and Hall (previous husbands) thinking maybe she was buried with either her first or second husband but again found nothing. Do you know her parents names, maybe I can find her in the US Federal Census. She is quite the elusive "Nancy". See if you can find any other information on her and let me know. Susan

Nancy Slater/Allegheny Cemetery
Hi Gail,
I was wondering if you had any further information on Nancy Slater buried in the Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny Church Road, Parker, PA. I have searched for her monument for over an year. Do you have her full name? She may not have a marker. The caretaker of the Allegheny Cemetery has passed away over the last year and I need to find out who has taken his place and see if they have any information on Nancy Slater. Thanks a lot, Susan

Rozella Moon Foster #92960926
If you have no relationship to this woman or her husband, John A. Foster, would you please transfer this memorial to me? She is a distant cousin, but I am "collecting" as many of the memorials for this family as possible.
Also, may I please have your permission to use your photo of their gravestones in my private Ancestry Family Tree.
Thank you very much for your efforts to preserve the history of so many burials.

I cannot find his burial listed in Erie Cemetery's online database, to determine which section, and lot he is buried in. I looked up his death certificate to make sure that you had the correct cemetery, and not one with a similar name, and it says Erie Cemetery Crematory. I am unfamiliar with there being a crematory, and the only cremation vaults onsite are very recent. Perhaps they used to have a crematory in 1960, I don't know, but perhaps his cremains were never interred here, or elsewhere. I would suggest that you call the cemetery's office to have them look it up in their records for you. If they can give you the section, lot, and grave number, post it and I will try to get a photo for you before the snow comes.

Coins left on tombstones & T n J Stepp
I always wondered what the coins meant. I noticed, too that some will leave them on a child's marker, too. Does that have a meaning as well?

Also, I took a photo of Theodore & Jane Stepp's marker and posted it on their respective memorials. One can't have too many photos, lol. I thought I'd let you know. Keep up the great work and Cheers! :)

Hi Gail,
Thanks for adding all the info and links.
I wish the new edits would allow you to send one edit that includes all the info and not several for the same person. Hope they change that!
