Are you saying that Catherine Goods is NOT the wife of Robert Buell and that her name is Elizabeth Hampson?

You left a message, but I do not know who it refers to? You could send it to me from that person's memorial. Pat

RE: Mary Buell Mills Bissel
I have now linked Mary to her second husband. You really should look at that memorial. Lots of documentation that you can use.

Mary Buell Mills Bissel
There was a Samuel Bissel Sr. who died 3/12/1700 in Simsbury leaving a widow, Mary. She was left a specified income as long as she remained his widow. His will was transcribed in Hartford according to the Manwaring volume. The children referenced would have been with his first wife, Abigail Holcombe. You should look at this memorial: 51098382.

My oops! date of Simon's death: 8 Jun 1683, not 93.

RE: Mary Buell Mills Bissel
I have her husband, Simon Mills, date of death as 8 Jun 1693. Are you sure you haven't used the date of death of his son, also Simon?

Mary Buell Mills Bissel
Your request to remove Bissle from her memorial needs some sort of documentation as I have documentation of sorts for the name:
BIOGRAPHY: The original Will and original Inventory, which is kept on file at the Connecticut State Library, for the Estate of Mary Buell Mills Bissel, dated 9 Apr 1718 named her daughters, Mary, Hannah and Elizabeth, and grandchildren, heirs of son John Mills and heirs of daughter Sarah Ellsworth. She named son Simon Mills Jr., sole Executor of her Estate, and signed the document "Mary Bifel". A few of the items listed on the Inventory are: one mohair coat, one serge manto, riding hood, one silk hood, one pair of shoes, two pairs of gloves, a blue calico apron, one feather bed, two blankets, a warming pan, a spinning wheel, a great wheel, wool cards, one cow and one sheep. Information from Hazel Bird.

Thank you for the suggestion, but you did not provide a year of birth. Do you have it, or do you want me to enter just "20 Mar Goshen, CT"?

Very possible that Mae was a nickname, they do resemble one another.

Just in case you didn't know, you can request a photo of gravestones, if the person has a memorial and it is know what cemetery they are in. Sometimes it takes a while, other times someone in the area takes a photo within days... It is just other people that use the site that volunteer their time and work to take these request photos...

RE: Melissa H. Ford (Miller) Kennedy

I put the picture of Melissa to the very top on her memorial page. Also, I linked her memorial with her 2nd husband, F.M. Kennedy's, memorial page and I've asked the creator of Mary Jane Miller (Bixel)'s memorial to link her memorial to those of her parents.
Just making sure, Mary Jane Miller (Bixel)(1852-1909) was John G. Miller & Melissa H. Ford's first born ? The couple did have seven children, but I see only six linked to Melissa's memorial ? I got the name Mary Jane Miller (Bixel) from someplace ?? Was she was the seventh child ?

I did have her stone...yay!!!
Not quite sure how I missed uploading it, although that was the 1st batch of photos I did when I joined the site and was having issues getting them sized right.

Anyway, she has a photo of her stone now, so glad you sent that correction to make me double check. I am going to note also hers is between her husband and the double stone for her parents (I took photos right down the rows and the pics are one right after the other)

Hope you like it!

Thank you for taking the time to send the info for his memorial. I added it all to reflect what you sent me. It is lovely to see the photo of those remembered here. I will have to double check my photos from that group to make sure Edna doesn't have a stone there that I missed when uploading.
Thanks again!

Hi, Ed. I see that you are the one who added the fotos & headstone foto to Miller's memorial. The inscription on the headstone is touching. I didn't think she had a child from her first marriage. The portrait is beautiful. Could you post the entire portrait that you sent me on Marine's memorial? Thanks.

Colmers in Stockton Rural Cemetery
I have been catching up and uploading photos from a visit this spring at the cemetery. I added photos to your memorials for Edward and Sarah Colmer, although the dates do not match exactly. If you have more info and can verify that these are correct, that would be great. If they are not correct, just let me know and I will remove them and create new memorials for the grave I found and place the photos there. I did not want to make a duplicate memorial if they are 'your' Edward and Sarah.

Paul Bixel
Hi, Edwin. Thank you for the correction. I checked the memorial for Paul Bixel ( and I have deleted the "Peter" nickname. I did not create the memorial and I'm not sure about where Lonnie and/or Mohr Historical Researcher came up with the name "Peter". I can't find any other reference to him as "Peter". I do have one correction for you, too. You loaded a photo of Paul's children to his memorial. In the text field, you entered "Paul Herbert Bixel" for Paul's son, but his name actually was Albert Herbert Bixel. Was it not? According to the records I've found, he was "Albert Bixel" and "A. H. Bixel". Since you are related to Paul directly, would you like me to transfer management Paul's memorial to you?
