Hello--I added a photo of his stone at San Francisco Nat'l Cemetery, part of our endeavor to photograph all stones at this location. If you'd rather it not be there, let me know, or perhaps you'd like to adjust the order of photos or make a note in the text about it. Thanks......Richard

RE: Private John I. Henning
Hi,
John, Mary, Della & Annabelle are all buried at Norman Cemetery. I went there today and got pictures. They are now posted online. I moved John and Mary's memorial to Norman Cemetery and added Annabelle.

Thanks
Jim

I have a lot of pictures, let me see which row I stopped at and you can go from them. Due to health issues, I can finish what I started. I have the readings from the book but there are a lot of new ones since it was last transcribed in 1995. I will get back with you soon on that. Thank you!

Deb -
Are you related to Helena Badertscher Moser? I was wondering where you got the picture of Helena & Phillip. If you are related, send me a message back. I may have some geneology information you don't have. (I already had their picture, but, was surprised to see it on their memorial.

RE: Zimmerly Sons
Definitely -- wait for spring breezes!! :)
I haven't a clue about where Martha is. She d. 12/11/1959, and the only obit I see is in the Findlay paper, to which i haven't access. She was wife of David. Their daughter Marvel May is #68093781 at St. John's. Their other dtr Margaret Gotschall d. 6/2/2009 in PA, but I know no more. Homer's wife Elva Weaver is #72256347 at Maple Grove.
As for the other siblings that aren't already connected: Sarah Oberly #68019300 and Pauline Lehman #67995813, both at St. John's Mennonite; Levina Habegger at Clymer #21907429, and Caroline Augsburger is missing -- d. 5/20/1961, but that newspaper isn't online, so i can't look it up here now. Will try next week. Must've been a divorce there. :(
Thanks for all the Clymer work. I'm almost wondering if the earlier Zimm's were buried at PV and later moved to Clymer. Who knows?!?!?

RE: Sons of Christian & Marie
I should've told you -- Christian & wife had 11 kids! David m. Martha Lehman and had 2 dtrs. She apparently d. 1959, but I don't know where they put her. The only dtr to survive d. 2009 in PA. Homer m. Elva Weaver, and she later m. Christian Welty and is at Maple Grove with him. Probably too much of Zimmerlys for you. :)

RE: Sons of Christian & Marie
This is very strange. The death certificates of all say Pleasant View, and they were all buried by the Basinger Funeral Home, whose books i copied years back -- so that is where I got the info. I'm starting to wonder about the name of the cem.! Actually, David and Homer both DID marry. Homer's wife remarried and is buried at Maple Grove. I don't know what became of David's wife. John was single. i don't begin to understand the connundrum!

later -- I double checked the Clymer Cem. transcriptions, and you're right. My apologies. At this point in my life I'm crippled up and can't go charging around cemeteries like I used to. I know better than to assume...

Sorry, I'm home sick and my reference books are in my office. I'll try to get back to you next week. All I could check from here was that Christian's death cert. had him at Pleasant -- and couldn't find one for Marie/Annie. Thanks for the heads up. Which kids do you have at Clymer?

RE: Joseph S. Haynes
Do you have a photo of the tombstone in Corliss?
If the dates match I wouldn't dispute it. Does the tombstone have his wife on it?
When I took a trip to West Virginia with a cousin we did visit Corliss to search family. This could be the same Joseph S. Haynes. The death certificate does say he died in an auto accident. Joseph, Henry and James seem to have been popular in our Haynes family.

RE: Obenours
The million dollar question! To whom was Harmon (I) married? And when and where was he born?
Sorry. We did have a really good lead from a German contact. But that information was lost in a computer crash about 15 years ago. Our contact graduated from the University of Heidleburg, and, in doing so, his email address changed and we lost contact. It was his elderly grandfather who had charted out Harmon's ancestry for us.
I descend from Barbara's brother Harmon. I hope enough of us keep researching, and one day we'll figure it out.
Regards,
mb
