I am guessing that she did indeed mean Dock, as he was called as an adult. As a child they called him RD or Artie, as some census takers believed it to be. I can find no record or family recollection of what the R stood for. His daughter-in-law (still living at 97) says they never knew either. As far as she knew Dock was his only name. So I'm guessing Artie and Arches may mean the same person. That's all their children. Thanks for sharing an interesting bit of the letter...loved it!

Jen - Jen The sad thing with the little guys headstone is it is only a temp. marker waiting for a headstone. It is not in good shape but it is a 100 years old. Have a great day, Jen

|Jen||Wallace Twitchell Baby|
Hi, The reason I set up the memorial with the last name as Twitchell is if anyone was looking for the last name of Twitchell the memorial would pull up. If I post it under Baby, that would be the last name. In the city recorder it is under Wallace Twitchell. Thanks for your interest, Jen

Feel free to use any of my pics. The only restriction I would add is that they are not sold and I can't even imagine any circumstances like that. :)

Thanks for that. Hope you are staying safe and warm! Here, in Spokane, which normally we have a fair amount of snow, we hardly have any! Sue

I added some pictures for the Ferguson's in Cross Road Cemetery today. I noticed that my pictures caused Lola Chestine Hill-Ferguson's to go to a second page. If you will go and change her personal picture to (Photo) instead of (Grave)it will keep it up front. ~ Scott

|Tricia the Spirit Chaser||Memory Park Cemetery corrections|
Most of the corrections and additions have been made. will finish them soon. wanted you to know, if you don't live in the area, that Memory Park Cemetery is in Harrison County but Longview is in BOTH Harrison COunty and Gregg County Texas. Most of the residences for Longview are in Gregg County.
The part in Harrison county is MOSTLY commercial and the cemetery. So added death places as GREGG county on most of the memorials.

Nice to see you care so much. I am part of a group who has taken over caring for SunnySide Cemetery since 2009 where Aaron Rudolph Hill is buried. We are presently restoring the grounds. Would you know of any history of the cemetery or any of the other people buried there.

I just made a link to a transfer I gave to you, and was reading your bio.
I have apparently "lost" a 3rd great-grandfather in the St. Francois Co., MO area, and was hoping maybe you could help me. I'm looking for James "Mitchell" Brock, last seen in the 1900 Libertyville, St. Francois Co., MO census. I believe he died in 1904 (no source; my great-aunt wrote that date down). His widow, Mary Jane (Pendergrass) Brock is buried in Libertyville. I called and talked to the sexton for Libertyville Christian Church Cemetery, and he said there were no records so he couldn't help me. Her father and brother are also in that cemetery, so I am assuming her husband is, also. If you could help me locate my James Mitchell Brock, I'd greatly appreciate it! The family knew him as Mitchell Brock, but all "official" records I've found for him have him as James M. Brock.
