Thank You!
Appreciate all your good work for the Find A Grave community. I've sent several SACs regarding Hamman W Thompson, Orange County, Texas. I'm not directly related, but it's a family in which I have an interest.

Hi Judy. I hope all is better now with you and your husband. I was just thinking I'd ask you if you would be interested in taking some of the Orange county cemeteries again. I could send about 20 or so a week if you are interested. That wouldn't flood you with too much. Let me know. Kerry

I think...William P & Rebecca Meadows Phillips to Uriah & Bessie Edwards Phillips to Julian Keith & Bessie Algood Phillips, to Charles E & Margie Ivey Phillips. Margie is my Aunt, she had 2 bros Larry & Marshall, all gone now.

It is ok, she is my first cousin and it was a terrible day when she passed. Let me know if there is any thing else you need. I don't have much on the Phillips side, so if we could share info it would be nice. I remember Granny Phillips like it was yesterday. Margie is my father, Marshall's sister. If you would like a copy of the original let me know.

Judy,
Just read what I posted and wanted to be more clear. My wording may have been a little confusing.

Elizabeth L. Hatfield was Marget's mother.

Marget Hatfield married Jonathan Padgett.

RE: Margret Ann Padgett
Hi Judy,
I did not put the "Guffey" relations on the Find A Grave page, however "common knowledge" is that her father was William Guffey. This is also in the book "William Guffey (1786) Ancestors and Descendants by Alvin Joseph Guffey, published in 1999, His source was a signed and notorized affidavit by Stella Vaughn Padgett.

Margret's mother was Elizabeth L Hatfield who is buried at the Chapel Flat Cemetery in Overton County. William Guffey was married to another woman and had a family when Margret was born. I don't think Margret went by the Guffey name but went by her mother's maiden name Hatfied before she married Jonathan Padgett.

Hope that clears it up. I think I have a copy of the affidavit so I'll try to put that on the website if I can find it.

RE: Dorothy Browning
It is a mystery. I found the two husbands and a blank headstone area between them. The place Colquitt is buried is a double headstone. I think it was the intention to bury Dorothy beside him. I asked the office personnel and they said there is not a record of Dorothy buried there. Mystery, indeed.

Thank you for updating the information on her memorial.

I hope Dorothy is located soon.

Sorry Judy,

Did not mean to send the wrong memorial number. Did you correct it? I looked at your memorial and it looks correct to me. What number did I send you?

Hi Judy; I was only recently transferred this memorial so I am unable to tell you about a grave marker. As soon as weather permits, I plan on driving to Center to take photos.

Can you take a revised picture of the stone that has both Pete and Joyce on it? Now with Joyce gone, I am wondering have they updated the stone?

Thanks so much for pictures!!
