Thank you so much for the picture. I think pictures add so much to the family tree. Would it be all right if I add the picture to my Ancestry tree? Thank you so much again.

I knew Clara and Norbert and family from growing up at Ingalls, KS. In fact went to school with their children. Clara was always super sweet to me! I didn't know your parents, I just made the connection by the Obits and last name. May I express to you how pretty your parents grave stone is-it is by far my favorite engraved picture I have seen! Just Beautiful!!

|Steve Bishop||RE: Dasenbrock stone|
According to Ancestry.com you are my 2nd cousin (i don't know however many removes or whatever). my Mom was Geraldine Dasembrock, daughter of Frank [brother of your gramdpa John] & Helen (Wente) Dasenbrock. I may have met you years ago when we were both small. I remember stopping in to see "uncle" John in Kansas on several of our family trips to Montana to visit my moms sister, Helen & i recall vaguely meeting other relatives.
I visited my Aunt Helen by myself in the summer of 1965 & ended up with a ranch job & pretty well stayed till the present. Had to make 9 month forays back to Illinois to finish high school & college but always considered myself a Montanan. Then finished college & moved out for good.
if you e-mail me I will invite you as a guest to my ancestery.com site & you can view the info I have on the family. (& the site is always a work in progress. I don't have much on the Kansas branch.
Keep in touch.

Which Dasenbrock stone are you thanking me for?
I have taken these pix over the years when I go back to Effingham to see my family & am finally getting them into find-a-grave. My dad is on the cemetery board so if you need any more I can maybe get him to take them for you. My mom was a Dasenbrock.

I transcribed them from a book called Abandoned and Semi-Active Cemeteries of Kansas, Volume II, compiled by Don L. Ford, published in 1985 by Higginson Books out of Salem, Massachusetts. Ridenhour Cemetery is on page 212. The book says this is a transcription is from a 1957 newspaper article on Royal Cemetery which is an old name of the cemetery. -Carol

Thank you so much for the photo of Eva Frack's headstone. You are a good detective to find it seeing as how she was buried under the name of her first husband!
