Andrus Family
Joann,

I tried to e-mail you but the address came back as invalid. I've been in contact with one of grand daughters of Clayton Andrus and I'd like to connect the two of you about your common family.

You can e-mail me at jtull@pobox.com and I'll pass along the information.

Regards,

Jeffrey Tull

I added photos for Dean, Frederick and Maxine Pfiester. These weren't the best photos but I will try to get back there and re-take. Thanks

RE: Wright/Webb connection
Hi,
Thanks for the use of Jane's picture. By Jane's marriage to William Webb, I have the following children:

Matilda Webb 1841-1920 m. Andrew J. Sutton
David James Webb 1843-1936 m Alice Lorissa Colvin
Mary A. Webb b. 1846 m. Abraham Nelson Brown in 1868

Jane and Simeon Dearin had:

Estella Dearin 1858-1941 m. Lewis T. Porter in 1897

In Oak Grove Cemetery, Jane, Matilda, Andrew, and Estella are buried next to each other.

RE: Wright/Webb connection
Hi,
I would like to like to add your picture of Jane (Wright) Webb to my Ancestry family tree. Is that OK? I have found several possibilities as to where she was born - do you have a source for the location you have listed? I have been to her grave site and she is buried next to two of her daughters and their husbands.

RE: Correction
Hi, We are so related. I have a tree on Ancestry, search for William Wright (1793-1852). I have walked around North Aurelius Cemetery a number of times, and yet each time I find something I hadn't noticed before. I don't know if it is true, but the family rumor is that the land for the cemetery was owned by John Wright (son of William) before it was a cemetery. Bob

Ruben R. Bullen's Wife
I don't have any documentation, but I did find Elizabeth M. Vandenberg's marriage to Reuben Rich Bullen (1806 Charlton MA- 23 Dec 1882 Aurelius, Ingham, MI) in 1835 in Wilkesbarre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania. This Elizabeth was born 1815 in New York and died 11 Mar 1854. Ruben Rich's son George W. Bullen married Lodema A. Wright on 29 Oct 1867 in Ingham County, MI. Lodema was a granddaughter of my great great grandfather William Wright. There are a number of connections between the Wright and Webb families.

Webb line to Carpenter Southworth Bradford line.
I have been caught in the Webb line for the last 1 and a half years and that has led me to the Mayflower. This began with Capt George Webb of the revolution. He married a
Sears and has a heavy Freeman line going to Brewster, Prence and Carpenter Southworth. We have many names in Common, ie; Kellogg, Belding Lydia Kellogg Lewis and more. Would love to hear from you, particularly your Webb line to and including Capt George Webb 1740 to 1825 in Holden Ma at his death. Thank you for anything you could tell me. RE: Re: Herbert Reed/Elizabeth
Actually I'm related to the Reed family, not the Downers. Elizabeth's husband Herbert is my 1st cousin 3x removed. His father John A. Reed is my great great grand uncle, John's brother Eugene is my great great grandfather. The man who has the memorials from Mt. Hope Cemetery doesn't transfer, I had to get Find A Grave to transfer people for me.
The Reeds had several farms in Clinton Co., did the Downer family have a farm, too?
We're connected by marriage but I don't think we're cousins, unfortunately.

RE: Re: Herbert Reed
Hello,
Yes, I do know who Herbert Reed's parents are. His father is John A. Reed (1843-1920) and his mother is Rhoda D. (Dayton) Reed (1843-1892). They're both buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery in the same lot as Herbert and Elizabeth. [Also buried in the lot are Hubert & Anna Reed (Herbert's brother) and Nathan & Martha Reed (John's parents)].
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, I can help.

Harriet Andrus (Stites)
Hello J.P.,

I saw your inquiry about Harriett Andrus. She is also my 2nd Great Grand Mother. My Grandmother is Perella Tull (Andrus), daughter of Ira Andrus. I would love to exchange info with you. I have Clayton and Ivah Andrus (Manning) on my family tree but I don't have any children listed. The tree is currently listing 282 Stites and 76 Andrus family members at ancestry but I am always looking for more family to add.

I am currently attempting to connect as many of the family memorials on findagrave as possible. Please let me know if you have any additions or corrections to her memorial and I will gladly make the updates.

You can e-mail me directly at jtull@pobox.com

Regards from your cousin,

Jeffrey Tull

Oops, didn't see your newer message. Good, at least you found her maiden name, so you can send that to the memorial owner.

Hi J.P., the California death index didn't record Helen's maiden name so I don't know what it was. I also don't know what the relationship of Sheila Crown was to Helen or to Leland. There must be a relationship but it might take some digging (as it were) to find out how they were related.

RE: Re:Leland Webb
Thanks for the info! I ask if you want me to take the photo down because Forest Lawn Glendale is super picky about people taking photos inside the mausoleum...for the "family's privacy." But then there are like 200 requests for photos that are in the mausoleum that aren't being fulfilled! So, once in a while, when a Find a Grave member arranges with the cemetery for me to go get them a pic, I try to sneak a few others in hopes that they may have a request on Find A Grave!
I don't maintain Helen's, that is Chris Mills. He is the local adder of memorials and I usually just add the headstone photos! If you'd like it transferred so you can maintain it, he will probably be happy to do it.
Good luck on your genealogy journey!

Hi, I was going into the Mausoleum to take a volunteer picture and I usually try to snap a few others in the same area to post on Find a Grave. I can take it down if you don't want it on there. Just let me know!
I don't know any of the people on the name plaque or their relationship, I really just took the picture coincidentally.
Thanks! -Carolyn

Benjamin Lewis
Hi J.P.Webb,

I linked Lydia Belding Lewis to Benjamin. Benjamin and Hannah Lewis are my 8th gr grandparents. I noticed on RootsWeb that a couple entries showed a Elizabeth Cromwell as Benjamin's first wife, Hannah the second, and Lydia the third. I'm not sure about this, I'd have to do more research. The creator of Lydia's memorial, Frank Grimes, has pasted away. If you care to manage Lydia's memorial, I'm sure Find A Grave would transfer her to you.

I would be more than happy to add any additional information that you wish to provide about Sarah. I follow Find A Grave's guideline stating that "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents."

JP, The memorial I created for my 6X great grandfather is not a duplicate. The other memorial is a centograph. So I made the memorial where he is actually buried in London, England and not Bennington, VT where his centograph is.
If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them. Thank you.

Best,

John Youngs -N Aurelius Cemetery
Thank you so much for your speedy work on acquiring the headstone photo for John Youngs. Prevously I saw a listing show him as a Civil War Soldier but he is actually a Veteran of the War of 1812.

Thank you again,

Sarah Ann Runyan
Hi J. P,
I'm looking for more information on Sarah Ann Runyan whose father and brother were both named Samuel. She married Isaac Green in 1864. Oddly enough, Sarah REBECCA Runyan (both Sarah's born abt 1836) has a daughter-in-law (Eliza Schoonover Heaton) in the same cemetery as Sarah ANN Runyan's father. It's said that Sarah Ann (Runyan) Green died 2 Sep 1863 but I can't find the source so I doubt it. I want to make her Sarah-Ann Rebecca Runyan, whose second husband would then be Joseph Heaton. They lived most of their lives in Putnam County, Ohio. Their oldest child was Samuel Jacob Heaton b: abt 1859, ?Steuben County Indiana. The Grandstaffs who are found living with the Greens tend to link the Greens to the Heatons as well, which possibly leads to Joseph Heaton being related to Daniel Heaton of Findlay, Ohio. Anything you have on Sarah and Isaac Green would be very much appreciated. I have searched long and hard. George L Heaton Jr was my second father in a way, I'm trying to find his ancestors (for years now!). Thanks! Scott

RE: Esbeth Gilmore
Please use the link on the memorial page. I have many memorials and it's much easier if I'm not searching around looking for multiple in order to transfer or change. However, that being said, I'll be glad to transfer any that you are related to.
