You had requested a transfer from Ed Houghtaling who had stated on his page "NO TO ALL TRANSFERS". I've had issues with him in the past...I had to go right to Find a Grave to get the transfer. You may want to try that...they can transfer it right away from him to you:) Hope to help. He's a gem!

I double check the area today and decided I was off a bit when I labeled the picture with all three Helms so I have posted a new version. It pushes the area of Philander and Ella back a bit. Now Philander's area matches his second picture.

You have requested a photo for a gravestone that does not exist. That is why I posted the two pictures already to the memorial page.

|Larry Woodbury||RE: Re:Ora Woodbury|
Sorry it has taken so long to reply. Left on April 30th and returned on May 23rd. Wife Pat and I went on a Panama Canal Cruise.
I'am still trying to figure out where the Woodburys in Mt. Hope Cemetery (in Lansing, MI) fall in the family tree.
The only thing that I know for sure about Ora is that he was in the Boys Vocational Training School when he died.
Will be working on this more, if I find anything will pass it on to you.

Thank you. Your sentiments mean a lot to me. Yes, I'm still in the Greenville area but will be moving to Trufant in June. I've decided to move into a mother-in-law apt. that is attached to my youngest son, Jim and his wife Deb's home. My e-mail address will be changing after I move but I will keep you in the loop and hopefully our paths will cross.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like you know the family quite well. I was very saddened to have lost Alice Ewing Schumacher....she passed just 3 months before my husband.

|Patricia L. Smith||Re: Related to Loyd Donald Smith's mother|
I saw on my husband's burial site that you left a message stating that his mother's sister was an aunt to your husband. I am curious how he is related. Irene (Loyd's mother) had several sisters but only two had children; Blanche and Nietta....both of their children were adopted but all considered part of the family. Please share the blanks with me, if you will....
Thank, Pat Smith

I added a photo of Ferris Fitch to his memorial page. I hope you don't mind. It came out of a Carte di visete (mangled the spelling) picture book that contained members of the Abbot, Chipman and Mapes families from Unadilla, Plainfield and Iosco township Michigan. Susan Chipman married Cyreanus Abbot in 1840 and their daughter Sarah Abbot married Charles D. Mapes. Susan Chipman's father was named Fitch Chipman. Susan's grandparents (Fitch's parents) were Lemuel Chipman M.D. and Asenath (Fitch) Chipman. this is how the Chipman and Fitch families are related. Although I don't exactly know Ferris Fitch and Susan (Chipman) Abbot's relationship, I would imagine that Ferris's grandfather was probably Asenath's brother. This is certainly an image of the correct individual however.

Isaac is my 3x great grandfather, and one of my DAR patriots is his father, Joseph Holley. I have no information documenting a mother for Isaac, other than Sarah. I am aware that Jedidah b. 1743 d 1816 is buried near to Joseph at Cortland, NY, and it says 'wife of Joseph Hawley' on her stone, but I do not think it is Isaac's mother. I would really appreciate anything you could dig up for me on this!!!! Thank you! Great work on your memorials!
Added by Patricia on Feb 21, 2013 11:16 AM
the only burial I am familiar with for a Jedidah/Jediah Holley/Hawley is in Cortland County NY, b. abt 1743, d 1816. Although I have seen some list her as a wife of our Joseph, I do not believe she was, nor mother of Isaac; his father Joseph's pension file indicates 'parents Joseph and Sarah', as opposed to 'father Joseph and wife Sarah'. I think "Jedidah wife of Joseph Hawley" of Cortland Co may have been a second wife of Joseph Hawley of Solon, Cortland, NY, as his first wife Eunice d 1799 in Solon,leaving him with 6 children under the age of 16 - but all unproven, am still researching this.

I am curious as to where the information came from of Jediah Holley buried in Oswego
County NY as mother of Isaac?
