Thanks so much for taking the photo of the grave of William Swann at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Iowa. It is really appreciated. I have been researching the 120th soldiers for the past 13 yrs to tell about their lives.
May I use your photo in my research on my site and in the research that I plan to give to some libraries? I always give credit for the photos.

Thank you so very much for the photo. John Schamper's life was brief, and his death was horrific. It's good to see him at rest.
I am so glad you took time to help me out. My family appreciates it.

Just a note to thank you for the transfers. I have already made a couple of entries/corrections and will write more in the near future after I confer on some facts with my brother George Aveilhe who is the holder of the key to the mausoleum.

|Lydia Wood James||RE: Mary Darwin Aueilhe|
You are quite welcome.
I went ahead and added a link to William I. Richardson's listing, even though there is uncertainty involved. I want to suggest too that it may be that Mary was actually divorced more than once. With the birth date you have provided for her first husband Carlos, there is no possible way he could have reached the age of 90 by 1921. In my own family research I have encountered women that listed themselves as widowed when they were actually divorced to avoid stigma. My husband's great-great grandmother did this, after divorcing her husband in the 1870's. He didn't die till 1911, but she listed herself as a widow in every record we have encountered from the 1870's till her death in 1922.
Perhaps Mary Aveilhe did the same. I have also encountered women who were married more than once being buried under the name of a previous husband. All I can chalk it up to is a greater sense of devotion to that husband; wanting to respect his memory for any possible children involved; or finding it easier (or less expensive) to be buried there. In Mary's case, it was her family's crypt, so I imagine it had more to do with devotion than expense.
In any case, I'm glad I was able to help flesh out her listing. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. I am not related to her, so if you are and would like to care for her listing, I would be more than happy to transfer it.

Thanks! I believe Winzen is Vincent who died on the same date! He's the father of the son Vincent buried there as well. Other grave should be his wife Frances D: 5-22-1899 her death certificate states Aspen Grove. Where did you find the other Hess D: 8-1895? I've never seen that date before! Thanks so much really appreciate it!

|Evangelineღ||Photo of gravestone|
I wondered if I could ask a favor of you? I see that you added a picture of the headstone for my baby daughter, Rebekah Joy Cox (memorial # 116665795). Thank you for your time and effort. I would like to respectfully ask if you would please delete that photo? I purposely have not added a gravestone photo to her memorial, for personal reasons, at this time.
Thank you very much,
