Pam McTighe Hurnblad
Edward McFadden b 1821 Ireland
Hello Laurie
My name is Pam, and I am related to Edward McFadden through Edith Rose Bartley Sutton b. Nov 12, 1907. d.Feb 20, 1997. The youngest of her children, born after Sharon Rose, in 1948. I understand that my name would have been RoseMary. I am working on our family tree through FamilySearch.org.

If you have additional information on the McFadden's I would love to talk with you or at least incorporate the data to a tree for my lineage.

All the Best,
Merry Christmas.
Pam

RE: Mary McCartney
Hi, Sorry, couldn't seem to find it. According to the Burial records on Ancestry, she's buried at plot no. 3A 276. However, a lot of gravestones don't have the plots numbers on & then the ones that do seem to be mixed up, for instance 278 is next to 250. I had a look round for about half an hour and couldn't find any McCartney's or Mohin's. I'll another go in a few days, hopefully I'll find it then.
Many Regards, Andrew

Hi, I assume you mean there are already pictures online but not on Find A Grave. I guess it's Ok in that sense. However, I would feel uncomfortable if there's a very personal message on the gravestone or if there recent floral tributes on it. That could be a big possibility considering it's so close to Mothers' Day. I'll try & find it over the next few days & let you know.
Regards, Andrew.

Hi,
Sorry, as you can see I left the word 'family' out the last message.

Re: Mary McCartney
Hi,
I notice you have requested a photo for Mary McCartney's grave. I live quite near to the cemetery & know which area of it the grave is in. However, before I for fill the request, do you know whether the McCartney are happy for such a photo to be available on the internet?
Many Regards, Andrew

RE: Old Fourth Creek
You are always welcome. Old Fourth Creek is a great old cemetery. Also, you're welcome for Neill at New Perth. I've claimed some other requests there and will go out as soon as I can now that the weather is getting so nice.

Regards,
Joy

You are welcome. Sorry there wasn't a marker. So many in this old cemetery are missing or worn so badly that the lettering is nearly erased.

Thank you. Have you traced Washington's ancestry? Does it go back to the Shenandoah Valley?

Is Washington related to the Byers of Augusta County, VA? I've noticed that you maintain a memorial for James Burette Byers 84416004 buried in Eastlawn Cemetery in Rockingham County, VA.

Mary Frances Virginia Layman
Hi Laurie,
I need the birth and death dates for Mary F V Layman, who married George Washington Rimel.

The dates you sent see to be in the correct generation to be the daughter of Adam Layman, but I want to make sure that is the info you sent me.

Thanks,
Larry

RE: Adam Layman
Hi Laurie,
Think the info you sent is for Mary Frances Virginia Layman, not Adam Layman who was her father.

Is that correct?
Larry

Hi Laurie,
I just found your picture of Adam Layman on Find A Grave.
I am researching his daughter Mary Frances Virginia Layman, who married George Washington Rimel.
Please contact me about his daughter. I need her vitals for a Civil War Project.

RE: Hugh McWhorter
Thanks for the info. I will start at the Pencader (note the spelling) Presbyterian Church Cemetery, which is about ten minutes from my house. This is where I would have started even without the religious connection.

Regards,

Tedd

Hi Laurie -

A couple of things come to mind, but let me poke around a little bit and get back to you. Was he associated with any particular religion?

Regards,

Tedd

Laurie,
I'm sorry but I do not have access to the church records. However, I think you could probably write them to get the information you need.
