I have more photos coming for you from Birchlawn. I am slowly chipping away at all the requests that cemetery had.

RE: CHARLES ALEXANDER HODGE & WIFE.
I checked for them, as well. I will look for them again. He was in the mausolem and they weren't near him. It's a big cemetery so I am sure I missed some of the requests. I plan to do another trip soon.

Sophia's first husband was Andrew Jackson Stone. Her second husband was John Creel. I have no reference for any connection to the last name of Gaskins. I hope this helps!

RE: WOODS
Hi, C. Latta: My wife is not related to the Woods or Brunson families. Joseph Woods is a "father-in-law of grand uncle of wife of husband of 2nd cousin 4x removed". Translated, that means my wife is not closely related. If you would like a transfer of Joseph's memorial please let me know and I'll transfer him to you.

I have been adding them as my time permits and as I find them. I added more, but they were removed for some reason so now I have to go back to all the names again to see who has and who doesnt.

Thank you for your kind words.

C. Latta,

Thank you, and yes would love to speak to you. Please send # via my private email address, regarding Richard Curtis Brett, his wife, Pearl Lynch Brett, Paul Elder Brett, his wife Lavenia Adelia (Cowan) Brett.

I just thought about where I can show you where Paul Elder Brett is buried online at the Paul Brett Homeplace in Murfreesboro Township, Hertford County, North Carolina. A cousin has a website that has connected to google earth.com and has a Brett family genealogy site. On his site it will show an aerial view of the location where he is buried.

Richard Curtis Brett
Hello again C. Latta

Richard Curtis Brett is buried in the Town of Ahoskie Cemetery, as I had suspected. He is buried among several relatives at Lot # 134, to include surnames of Cowan, Cooke, Brett.

I am not so savy on what you do, how you do whatever to come up with the connections. If you desire vital information, get back with me, or just download the Town of Ahoskie Cemetery, and his vital information is there.

He is the son of Paul Elder Brett and Lavenia Adelia Cowan, of Murfreesboro Township, Hertford County, North Carolina. The Brett family is one of the early pioneers within the area of Hertford County, North Carolina, from the very beginning of it's existence. I've traced my family lineage to a John Brett Sr, born about 1635 in England, and is believed to be the progenitor of our family.

If I can assist further, please let me know, and will attempt to do whatever I may.

Thank you!

Richard Curtis Brett
Hi again.

There are two Riverside Cemeteries within Hertford County, NC. One in Murfreesboro and the other in Ahoskie.

There is also an Ahoskie Cemetery, which I do believe this was the one I referred to previously.

A check of the three just now, showed no Richard Curtis Brett buried there, but at the same time (in Ahoskie Cemetery), only about 55% of the interred have been added to findagrave. I am more than aware he is buried there in the Ahoskie Cemetery.

I do know of someone that will take pictures and search, as she has done a whole lot of the Brett's in the past.

I now am old, in Michigan, and will not be travelling south again, as I do have many problems in physical nature. Old age is one.

Thank you again, and when all is said and done, when Richard is found, we will connect them here.
Job well done!

Thank you for your attempts. Be made aware that Richard Curtis Brett is buried in the town of Ahoskie Cemetary, down by the river.

Sad to know that he and his wife are now gone, and not buried together.

Again, thank you for your attempts to connect the two at least here on findagrave.com

There are approximately 32 that I entered in Oakland Cemetery. There came from Men In Gray Interments by
Thomas M. Spratt, vol. 12. It would be easier for me to scan those 3 pages and send them to you if I have an e-mail address.

RE: OAKLAND CEMTERY, HAMPTON, VA.
If you can give me more information I will be glad to try to help you. If you can give me the names of the ones I entered (or the F-A-G number) it will help me locate the source I used. Probably what I entered is what I had but I will be glad to check. Unfortunately some people have no respect for the dead.
I commend you on the work you are doing.
Deo Vindice!

Pearlie and Richard Curtis Brett
Ms Latta,

Today I stumbled upon three family members that have passed. Pearlie Brett, Son Ronnie Wayne Brett, as well as my uncle, Richard Curtis Brett who died many years ago.

Just wanted to let you know I found a picture of her and posted that picture. The picture was on her obituary.

Her husband is buried in Hertford County, North Carolina. Pearlie and son, Ronnie are buried in West Virginia.

By chance if any of the above may contact you regarding your submission, please direct them to findagrave.com, and to my name. Would love to contact them, as I have never met them. I am now 68 years old.

Thank you!
