Millie Williams wife of William Berry Sissom
I have some information on her, if you would like. Her parents names, she was a triplet, grandparents names too. Her grandmother was a Sissom too. A little incest going on here between cousins... oh well. My 2nd great grandmother was Millie's sister.... not one of the trips. My e-mail is genie_kay@yahoo.com if you would like the additional information to add to her bio. Also, William Berry was remarried after Millie died and had more children with 2nd wife. Can you tell me what the inscription says on the headstone?

Thank you.

Genie

RE: Andrew Jackson & P. Callie Orrick
Carol, "thank you" I appreciate it. I did look before I put them on but I was looking for Andrew Jackson and Precilla Caldonia Orrick, not Jack and Callie. I see that it will still be a copy on the find a grave, or could I somehow put them together? Would you like for me to transfer yours back to you or could I delete it. What ever you think is best. I hate to have two different ones on. Please check mine out I have all of the family information and pictures of both gr-grandparents. Glad to know that others are interested in the family.

You're welcome! I'm glad you found them. I just entered them from Cochran's index, so I'm glad you know something more about them.

RE: Horace Nichols gravestone
Carol, the only McBrides that I have is a small family tree that is in White Co., TN. They began with an Andrew McBride who was born in the 1770's in VA and married a Saroah Fuson before coming to White County. I have no record of a McBride marrying a Stacy. If your records seem to have a connection to White Co., TN, please let me know because I have extensive records about two or three McBride clans in White Co.

Carol, Thanks a lot for the excellent photo of Horace Nichols' gravestone at the Oak Grove Cemetery. I will be putting a copy of it in the Keathley family photo album that goes along with the Keathley Family tree book. Ralph Franks

Carol:

Thanks so much for the photo of the Hiram Scott marker - It is weathered a lot, but it is 123 years old. I guess I need to get up and make a trip to the Cherry Cemetery to spend the day. It is about 2 hours from here.

Thanks so much again - you did a great job.

Your right the stone is broken up. I got my information from a 1980 survey of the cemetery. I have found other discrepancy's in the information. I will correct his memorial.

Thanks Donnie

Hi Carol,
Welcome to Find a grave! I noticed that you've only been active a short time. I just found the memorials you left for Jesse Sissom and family. They are great! I was wondering how you got the dates for Jesse and Katherine. Is there a caretaker with the records that you were able to talk to? Are you a descendant of this family? I am too. I guess the grave stone for James Sissom is a replacement. It doesn't look very old. I just want to thank you for your efforts.

Hi Carol,

Your photos are excellent! It's amazing that they are still readable after 190 plus years! Our family now is researching the second James Law McLaughlin which you also located for us. You are an angel! Many thanks for your kindness!!

Lyman Gunn
Carol,
Below is a website that gives a bio of Lyman and Sallie Boyd Gunn that I thought you might want to add to the memorials--they are relatives of mine, but very distant. while Sallie and Lyman were devoted to the CSA my line were Quakers and supported the abolitionist cause of the Union proving once again that the Civil War really was families fighting each other. I also posted some pictures of Lyman and Sallie. Thanks for your help in finding their graves.
