RE: Wilkes-Barre City Cemetery
Carol, sadly there are many unmarked graves in that entire corner section and throughout the cemetery.

Bob Whitenight
Albert Cemetery, Mountaintop
Hello. My name is Bob Whitenight. I am a retired fellow looking to make a few extra bucks and take cemetery pictures for $5.00 each. I see you need pictures from the Albert Cemetery in Mountaintop, and since I live in Hazleton, I thought I could be of service to you. You do not have to pay up front. I will go to the cemetery and take the pictures and post them on Find-A-Grave. After you see the pictures you can then send me the money. Let me know if you want me to do this. You can reach me at:

Carol,
I made a mistake in my previous message regarding Jane Pamelia Howle Simmons Mellard's Find A Grave number. It should be # 154990912.

RE: Jane Pamelia Howle Mellard
Carol,
I'm still working on Jane Pamelia Howle Simmons Mellard. As you noted, I guess there is no way to delete the record put up for her by Georgia Girl in the virtual cemetery listing (# 63941112). I noted that you had put up two separate records for her in Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery, Scott County, MS: --One as Jane Pamelia Howle Simmons, # 157869775, and --One as Jane Pamelia Howle Mellard, # 15499012.

Since her grave marker is listed as Mellard, I suggest that we keep that record and that you delete the one with the Simmons name (# 157869775). By the way, if you haven't seen it, I added a photo of her grave marker.

RE: Susan E. Carney Dunn
Carol,
My connection to the Carney family is thru Susan's sister Sarah Catherine "Kitty" who married Thomas Jefferson McGinnis, then their son married into a branch of my Hill family. The cousin I am helping is a McGinnis.

So, I really do not know anymore than we have already discussed about this Dunn family. Sorry.
Have you seen the John T. and Susan Dunn on the 1900 Census in Weakley Co., TN? The 1929 Death Record for this Susan is at http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=TNDeathRecords&h=581782&tid=&pid=&usePUB=true&rhSource=2546
Her parents were Fred WHEELER and Susan RABET.

This Weakley Co., TN John T. Dunn died 1909 and has a Find A Grave Memorial at
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=96773117&ref=acom

I am aware of the whole "widow/widower" thing. Folks were doing that all the way up to WW II.
My grandparents divorced in 1915 (then remarried in 1925) but on the 1920 Census were "widowed".

My Tress are not posted online.

Good luck.
Kathleen

Susan E. Carney Dunn
Carol,
Thank you very much for finding my error about the death date of Susan E. Carney Dunn, that I had included in the Bio of her mother Sarah "Sallie" Frensley Carney. I do see Susan and her children on the 1870 census.

Do you happen to know if Susan's husband John Dunn served in the Civil War?
Also, I wonder if he was a river boat pilot like his father Wilson, and maybe that's why he is not with Susan on the 1870 census.

Lastly, how do you descend from the Carneys? I don't actually descend from them, but am connected by marriage. I created these Memorials at the request of an elderly cousin.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Hill

RE: Jane Pamelia Howle Mellard
Carol,
Thanks for your message. I contacted Georgia Girl and she said she was no longer involved with Find A Grave. I guess that means that you would have to contact someone at Find A Grave to get the record she put up deleted. I am a novice at this so take whatever action you think is appropriate. Let me know if I might supply you with other genealogical information to connect her to other family members.

RE: Jane Pamelia Howle Mellard
To Carol Adams Rowlands Hays:
I received your reply to my earlier message regarding the Find A Grave record for Jane Pamelia Howle Mellard (her second husband's surname). Your record has her listed in the Find A Grave virtual cemetery (record # 154990912) rather than the Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery where she is actually buried.

In doing further research on Find A Grave, I found that Georgia Girl has also posted a record in the Find A Grave virtual cemetery for her under the name Jane Pamelia Howle Simmons (her first husband's surname). Record Number 63941112.

Would the two of you please coordiate and delete one of the records. Then remove it from the Find A Grave virtual cemetery and put it in the Hillsboro Methodist Cemetery, Hillsboro, Scott County, Mississippi.

Mary Keene Brady
Mrs. Hays,
In 2012 you created Memorial # 100493158 for Mary Brady. At that time, she was still living. This morning, I found information that she had recently passed away and searched for her with her current last name, Hewett in the Pine Hill Cemetery. I did not find her since she had re-married and created a memorial for her.
As I was searching for her husbands and parents to add to the memorial, I discovered your memorial for her. I have left my memorial posted for now, so that you can use it to update your memorial, or you can delete yours so that there is no duplicate. The choice is yours and I do not mind deleting mine after yours is updated. I started to delete mine but thought you might want to update yours using the information, which would certainly be easier for you.
Just let me know what you would like to do, again the choice is yours.
Thanks for what you do on Find A Grave.

Absalom Milliner
Hi Carol,
I just wanted to let you know per the burial records of Northwood Cemetery and the City Cemetery that Absalom Milliner is buried not at Northwood Cemetery but at the City Cemetery. I have walked both cemeteries a lot and there is a mausoleum for the Milliner's at the city cemetery.

I transfer some more Hoyle that are in plot L-61 to you to include one just with the marker Grandma Hoyle. One would guess it is James's mother, but have found no other record except this stone.
