RE: Carl Scull headstone
Yeah, I needed to do a little digging. Quite a few stones are set down kind of low in the grass in that cemetery. Sorry for the delay in getting the picture -- I found the stone several months ago, but realized I needed a shovel. Then events intervened and, well, I finally got back to it. Tim

Distant cousins
Hi Carol!

My sister and I were talking tonight about our grandmother's grandfather Clovis Alexander LeRoy, so I decided to do a search to see what might be found today about him on the internet.

I see that you are also interested in such things. I have photo of him, a scan or two of his obituary, and of course photos of his clan descending from his son Charles in St. Louis, including photos of Charles and some of Clovis's other children.

I'm wondering what else might be out there? We also have cousins in California and I'm in touch with them.

Glad to see the LeRoys are alive and well.

Carol
In 1799, Colonel Robert Hays sold 160 acres of his land south of Haysboro to George McWhirter and 160 acres of his land north of Haysboro to Thomas Hudson. Hudson immediately divided his land into 72 parcels, which he marketed to both new and old settlers. On October 23, 1799, the residents all came together to rename their town “Haysborough.”

Robert Hays
Carol, one of my ancestors George Marlin McWhirter was with Robert Hays and started a township near Nashville called Haysboro in the late 1700's. What do you know about him.

Pictures copied over to 3 requested memorials and plot locations noted except for last person, as being noted buried in Tennessee, leaving that additional information posting up to you.

I don't like taking those flat ones. Lol. Some of them while in the process of tarnishing are pretty hard to get photos of. You are very welcome. Glad I could help.

thanks for checking into the burial locations. Will make the search a lot easier. Will head over to that cemetery soon. Waiting to see how many other responses I get. Makes the trip more worth while.

This is a very large cemetery with all flat markers. If you could call the office and find the location of this burial we would be glad to look for it. We can only ask for three locations without being charged. 740-452-2236

RE: New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery
I am just about finished with going over the cemetery to take photos of every marker that can be read. Should finish this summer. I can then take on another cemetery. I was able to find many of my ancestors using Find a Grave and know how valuable a name and dates on a marker can be to family search.

Stanley Miller
I was just @ Halley's Ridge today & went through the entire cemetery to find photo requests. As you had asked, I looked but did not see Stanley Miller's. I wouldn't mind going there again in the future to try again. It's a large place, but someone buried in 1999 shouldn't be hard to find.

You're welcome Carol! After talking to the cemetery manager, I looked up the history of AC Williams. He had quite an impact on Ravenna in the 20th century! I learned quite a bit.

Are you looking for Daisy Reed Blair Williams? Her dates are (1872-1909). She is also buried on the AC Williams plot. There is also an Edna Hazel Buck Williams (1891-1927). If this is your Daisy, why don't you enter her information and I will post the pic. I took all of the pictures on that plot, while there. I see Edna is listed, I am going to post her picture when I finish this post.
