Patton State
Thank you for the recent addition of the Patton State Hospital Monument to those family members who we have not forgotten. And many thanks to the CA Memorial Project for the long hours of making all these monuments and moments of silence possible.

Now, is there ANYONE who can tell me who might assist in finding out if a family member died on site, or was actually discharged?

Again Stevan...I thank you from my heart.
Karin

According to the funeral home she is buried there, there is no other listing for her. I will have to inquire further.

Is there another burial grounds or cemetery at or on Pechanga reservation? If so what is the name and where is it?

Hi Steven

My name is Angela and I come from Scotland you were the first person to record my great uncles grave in the United Nations in Korea. You have no idea what this has done for my search as we were always told that he never even had a grave!!! So from the wright family (my mothers side) we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It's been nice to finally have a picture of what happened to him

Many thanks again

Hi Stevan,
Thanks for the correction. I deleted the memorial I made for him. I was working with his family on this, so I will inform them of the change.

Stevan, thank you for noting this and I made the change to Coachella (sp?). George is my Uncle and also my godfather. Previous sources had Palm Springs so that was how I put it.
More recently I found some service burial records and that gave the other cemetery, but with the holidays I did not have time to change it. I'm glad you reminded me. More of his service records are in my "Dad's Ancestral Lines" on ancestry.com. His father served in the Army as well as was at the old Plattsburgh, NY barracks. It was there Delbert met my grandmother, Rose Charland. He, my father Elmer, and his sister, Pearl all predecesed him as well as a baby sister, Ruth, and a baby brother,
Ralph. Ruth and Ralph died shortly after birth and are buried in the old base cemetery.

His 1st marriage to Mildred Hayes ended in divorce and she is now deceased and buried in Elizabethtown, NY. The family story is that when he moved west, one of his nurses from the TB Sanitarium went with him and they eventually married and had children. This info is from his sister Pearl's family. Two of her sons lived near her and Uncle George In the Indio area. They are Robert and Richard Martelli, both veterans. Richard is buried there. Robert died in TX and is buried next to my husband, Adrian LaMar, in West Peru, NY. Adrian was a Viet Nam Vet.

We are a family full of veterans including Revolutionary War on our Sherwin line (Delbert's mother's line).

Again, thank you.

Farm Girl from MO.
RE: Charlotte (Eller) Burris
It sure does take a lot of looking around for our relatives. The Eller's are connected by marriage to me so I am glad to have found her correct burial location. Wish I had known she was buried in Colorado earlier so as not to have created a duplicate. It just didn't help that the other memorial doesn't have her complete name and no birth or death dates on the memorial. I just hope to hear from the creator of her memorial so I can update her memorial.
Thanks again for everything, Farm Girl from MO.

RE: Charlotte (Eller) Burris
Thanks for letting me know that the Palm Springs cemetery does not exist.

I found out this evening that Charlotte is not even buried in California, she is buried in Colorado. I am working on getting my memorial merged with an earlier memorial for her that did not have her full name or dates included on it. Hopefully the creater of her memorial will respond so I can delete my memorial for her.

Thanks again, Farm Girl from MO.

Rank of Frank Aigrisse
I am a high school student who has to do a senior fallen soldiers report on a WWII hero from my town. I have been researching this man on multiple websites and came across this one. All of the other information fit very well, except it did not list his service number and the rank if it is the same man from the project i am given, is listed on every other site as a Major. Please contact me when you are positive with both things as i am in need of the information as soon as possible. Thank-you.

I'm not related; I was just looking at some obituaries today, while working on a research request at the Historical Association where I volunteer. The caption has the name and date of the newspaper. St. Elizabeth Hospital is in Lafayette, Indiana.
