|Susanna Parrish Allen||RE: Veteran's Hill|
I was out getting a photo request and all those flags were waving! It was beautiful. We need to get a group to go in and finish the entire cemetery. I know 2 others are also photographing. We need to collaborate and make a group effort. I tried this in 2009 and in 2010 with NO luck! Maybe since Find A Grave is more known folks will bite?

If I did it your name would no longer be on it. If you click on the photo to "open" it (makes it bigger and shows any caption you may have added) then right-click it, you can save it to your desktop. I'm not sure which you'll want to do--"save picture as" or "save target as", but when the right one is saved to your desktop you can then add it to the other memorial.

You are welcome. The sibling feature is very new. The way I understand it, is that the siblings will automatically show up as long as the parents are listed.

You left me a request to delete Henry as a sibling. I am confused as to what you are asking me to do? When you go to his memorial, Henry is listed in the sibling area in grey, which, (as I understand) means that is the memorial that you are on. If I am not understanding this new feature on this website, please let me know.

Oh I hate autocorrect sometimes. It is Yolton not yorktown

If I remember right - they were close by. Earl Yorktown died 6 feb 1904 sibley township. 1900 census I found him living in-laws Thomas and Marietta Shay. Is grace Yorktown sister or young wife who died before 1900??

You're welcome. Every once in a while we get a "newbie" that doesn't adhere to the guidelines. It's all sorted out now. Thanks for your patience on the correct photo.

These are my ancestors as well! Would love to share any bits and pieces i may have. Ive been to the cemetery numerous times - starting as a child with my gram and more recently with my husband to mow & trim around their stones. The cemetery is no longer maintained and cared for. I look forward to any pieces or pics you may be able to add!

Most often a single date is both birth and death date, but in this case the way it is positioned on the stone makes it look like the birth date to me. Also, while Heintz could be a middle name for a girl, it sure sounds more like a maiden name. This is one that will need some family member's help to clarify, if there's anything inaccurate about the way it is currently listed.

Thanks much they are my 3rd cousin 3 times removed.

I have seen that discussed in the Forums from time to time--those in the know say it's just a "glitch" in the server. When you see the name and outline, as you describe, it means the picture is really there, but for whatever reason just not visible at that moment.
As for changing photo order, the manager of the memorial page is the person who can do that--I get Suggest-A-Corrections from time to time that are solely for that purpose--to change the photo order so that a preferred picture is at the top.

Hi Yvonne, thank you for the info. I am sorry my mistake cost you time looking for a grave that did not exist. I did not see there were 3 Oakland Cemeteries in Winona County. I did search before I created the memorial but Find A Grave search did not find the other memorial because the first name was missing an L.
I have deleted my memorial and sent a correction to Dave Vang.

The person who adds the photos (in this case you...) is the only one who can delete them.

No problem yvonne. I hadn't noticed that someone had added a photograph of the headstone with the information. Thanks for pointing that out!

It wasn't anyone who was kin to me and it sounded like they were to you, so I transferred. Feel free to send it back if you wish.
