Just wondering if you have found anything on Howard Wayne Medley, son of Lexie Medley and a Geo. Washington Stovall.
George was a brother of Bessie Belle Stovall who married an Ashby, then G.o. wilson??
Howard Wayne was my first husband ( from Pleasant Ridge,Tn..better known as Shake Rag) He was called Buck, but never found him in the family stuff...My son is Howard Wayne Jr. Medley....and Yes,your great-great grandmother was the sister of Pocahonus...and Indian Princess Mourning White Dove..

RE: Small world!
Thanks, Jennifer, for your note about the Medleys. I will definitely look at your tree - I am on also - still trying to get all the Medley branches correct!
Nice to hear back from you!

Small world!
I just realized that you are likely a branch from my same "Medley" lines. The part of the "Cherokee" woman - My 6th great-grandfather, Joseph Medley, Sr. was married to a woman named Mehettabelle (also seen in records as Mehitable, ETC.) I am betting this is the same "Cherokee princess" you are referring to, although I have been researching this rumor for many years and still have not found the "proof" that she was Native American, especially Cherokee. I have found documents with only her first name confirmed, any only one history book referring to Joseph marrying, "an Indian woman", but cannot find documentation otherwise.
My old-age goal is to spend a few days in areas where they lived and try and find as much info as possible on them and the lines they come from.
Let me know if any of this sounds familiar to you!

Thanks for photo!
Thanks so much for the nice photo of Vessie Mott's stone at Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding. I appreciate your time doing this for me.
May I have your permission to use your picture on my ancestry tree with giving you the proper credit for the photo, of course?
Interesting, I read your bio and see you were a "Medley". I have a Medley line also, but mine came from Lunenburg and Halifax, Virginia, to Ohio and Tennessee areas, with the ones in Ohio being my line of direct ancestors.
My line: Deborah Medley Harrison, daughter of Joseph, Jr. Medley, son of Joseph, Sr. Medley, son of Isaac Medley and Jane Towles from Lunenburg, VA area.
Thanks again for the photo.

Moon photo requests
Thank-you so much for filling the photo requests in Doll Cemetery for Catherine and Eugene Moon. I am working with a neighbor who is related to Catherine's brother. We hope to eventually link all of the children with their parents so other descendants can easily follow the family relationships!

Medley Family
Thanks for the memorial for Fred.I knew them well,as I married Howard Wayne Medley ( son of one of the girls) We knew her as Lexie. Was this Jean or Mary?I never knew the girls, but grew up with the boys at Pleasant Ridge (better known as Shake Rag to those of us who lived there) I remember that Kip had the prettiest hair I'd ever seen, silver at an early age and so wavy.My son is Howard Wayne Medley Jr.,living in Md.

I transferred all the Tiebens That I had at HTC to you. Perhaps you can combine the two for your grandmother or delete one of them. There are two other Tiebens at HTC but Bob & Nancy Cannon created those records and perhaps are somehow related because of the detail info they supplied on those records. It might be worth contacting them.

Have a great day,
Rich O'Keefe
