RE: Hasty
Nancy, if you will click on the edit button at the top of the memorials, you can add the link yourself and the person who posted the memorial will accept it and then it will be done. I have posted over 7,000 memorials and am still doing it, and so there a a lot of cemeteries. I just happen to know Springtown and Goshen well as I work for the cemetery association for these two cemeteries.
Doing it that will will reduce confusion.
I appreciate others wanting family members attached as I feel the same way. I try to look for the parents and spouses of each memorial that I post.
Have a good day.

Nancy,

I apologize for not getting to you sooner but I rarely go thru my messages and I guess I just overlooked yours. The headstone photo is on the page and Virgil is not buried with them. He's actually buried in Crestview in Wichita Falls. There is a link on his parent's page.

RE: Re: Huffman Headstone
Hello,
I walked the cemetery today and I only found one headstone with "Huffman" on it. It is an old home-made headstone made of cement with "Huffman" scratched into the top, and "Mother" on the front. I originally concluded that this must be the one you requested, but seeing the link to her husband's ("Jesse") grave, and how much better his headstone is, I have my doubts.

Nancy,
You are quite welcome for Clara's photo. Did I confuse you more by my last message or is it clearer now? Let me know if you have any more questions I will be happy to assist.

RE: Re: Searcy headstone
Hello Nancy,
The two locations..the one that I put in the original note on the photo request and the one on the message to you on your member page are the same location. He is supposedly buried next to his wife, but when we took the picture of her headstone there was not a headstone for him. We do have to go back to the cemetery soon to take more pictures we can recheck the location and look again if you wish.

Nancy,
Hugh is suppose to be buried next to Clara, but there is no stone there for him. His location is Section 6 Plot 175B-3 and Clara's location is Section 6 Plot 175B-4. Sorry for the confusion.

Wooten Photo Request's
Nancy,

In regards to your photo requests, the burial location is incorrect. When the cemetery office said 'Rosehill' they were not referring to the plot. Actually Rosehill is the other city cemetery in Cleburne. It is adjacent to Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. It is real easy to update the burial location. Just click where it says 'edit' next to where it says 'burial' and then just follow the steps to change burial location to Rosehill. Additionally I am a photo volunteer and will be obtaining the photos for you. I am usually at Cleburne Memorial and Rosehill just about every Saturday fulfilling photo requests and continuing my project at CMC.

Regards,
Chris Easley

RE: Re: Huffman headstone pic
Hi Nancy,

I am sorry that I was unable to find the marker for Martha Huffman. If you do a search thru City of Tahoka then click on "cemeteries" you can see a list of all plots purchased, who purchased them and who is buried in the spaces. Since I didn't find Martha that way, I thought I would look by block. I looked all thru Block 5 because that is where her daughter is buried. I din't look thru every block. (There are 2 ways to search in their site--by purchaser & by blocks.) I looked both ways and did not find Martha listed. I saw where W.A. Eaton, her son-in-law purchased 2 spaces and a Monty Spears and Alice Frazier are buried in those spaces. An Otis Spears purchased some plots and Minnie A. & William A. Eaton are buried in them. I found their graves and they are buried in the same plot as 2 Spears. There is enough space in that plot for another grave but there is no marker.

I would think d/o might mean date of or daughter of. No idea on the other.

If you come up with more specific information or happen to find her listed I will probably be going to Tahoka again & could try then.

RE: Re; Lloyd & Maurean Patton
You are very welcome! So glad that I was able to help. I did discover that many of the Patton's were not included on the site for the Cemetery and so I added several. My time out there was limited and since I have discovered that many of the pictures I took had no memorials, not just of the Patton's...I do plan on going back out there very soon and trying to make some more progress. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help! Thank you, Staci

RE: Re: Martha Hasty Huffman
Hello,

I may have answered your question before, but I can't find a copy of it anywhere. So, I will send this possibly for the second time.

I visited the gravesite of my grandparents, Minnie Adeline and William Arthur Eaton back in the 1980s and took the photo of their tombstone. I did look around and found Martha Catherine Hasty Huffman's stone, which I remember as being flat, perhaps made of metal. It was not too far from my grandparents gravesite, but I haven't been there recently and can't really tell you what direction it was in. I think it was to the north and east and close to a tree. Maybe it has become covered with grass? Did you check with the cemetery people to see if they had the grave in their directory?

I am hoping to get back out there (I now live in Montana) and when I do, I'll try to find it and post a picture.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but if you do find it, I'd love to have a photo of the site.

I am happy to transfer any memorial to a family member. What better place to be than with family. I am sorry to see that with some it has become a game of numbers. If there are any others I can help you with in this area just email me.
