Your message regarding Mary Ellen McGovern has me scratching my head. I can't recall submitting anything a person with that name - perhaps you could refresh my memory.

I never said the wife was related to Charles, I said she was related to the Egan's who came to Highland around 1850 and I was wondering what if anything you had on the rest of the Egans.

RE: Egan's in wrong cemetery
All of the Egans from County Kilkenney? There was several families that came together. Even some of the wives were Egan's. Ann Egan married a John Keyes is an example. Ellen Egan married a Patrick Kent is another, all from Ireland and settled in Highland. There was also a Constantine Egan. Just wondering what you have??

RE: Egan's in wrong cemetery
You still need to delete Patrick Egan from the Highland Cemetery. I transferred him to you and he is actually in the St. Philip Cemetery.

I keep thinking about a trip to Ireland to try and trace out the Egan's on the wife's side. Can not find much on line.

Egan's in wrong cemetery
Molly, please delete the two Egan's you have in the Highland Public Cemetery since I transferred the two in Saint Philip Cemetery. That was the agreement!

Hello!
I am not sure, I just took pictures of the entire cemetery so I am not sure of the relation of the entries you mentioned. You may want to contact the people in charge of the cemetery for that information.

This may also relate to your John and Bridget McMahon. I've no relation...I was posting photos and came across all the wonderful details you have for him at Togus, so thought you might be interested.

Were there any particular Stellpflugs you wanted transferred or should I just transfer all of them?

I am not kin to the Stellpflugs and am happy to transfer them over to you. There are other Stellpflugs in that same cemetery. If you would like those transferred as well, just let me know.

RE: Frank Egan
Sorry I can't. I could barely read his name etc. I had to look at it a couple of times to make sure it was his marker.
Thx

Hi Margaret, if you click the Edit tab in the upper right corner of the memorial, it will take you to a page with several links. Click the first link to suggest a correction, fill in the information and click submit. When submitted that way, I get a direct link to the memorial to ensure I get the right one updated. Thanks! Cheri

John Lance
Margaret, I noticed your request awhile ago for John Lance's gravestone to be photographed, which I would absolutely love to do, but it is gone. I waited to respond because I wanted to be certain that it really was missing from the cemetery and not buried underground before I wrote to you. Volunteers have done exceptional work on restoring Swackhammer Churchyard Cemetery.

I am heartbroken that his stone is missing. I hope some day it will be found and returned to its rightful place.

Elias Bergen (2) in Green-Wood
Investigation of the 2 Elias Bergens has revealed only that one of them (lot 1226) was married to Joanna Suydam. The other (lot 267) is not memorialized by any currently visible stone or inscription. In any case, no one named Rose Bergen appears in the cemetery's online burial database.

I'm sorry, I have only what was entered. You might want to contact the cemetery itself. I have a lot of photos to add, but that won't likely be for several months, and the little one may not be marked. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

no, I am in NY -- but she is a family member - I would also love to see a photo, but I have a feeling since the stone is so old - it may be gone or unreadable.
