Kristen Moriarty
Long lost daughter?
My name is Kristen and I am helping my 3rd Cousin (found through DNA test) research her birth father. Her name is Tricia.

We believe that her father is Donald Robert Donovan.

We are looking for any relatives or connections for Tricia. Can you help?

Hi Brian,

I have Lulu's obituary. I just noticed you added a photo of her a few months ago. Are you related? My great grandfather was the brother of George Luckman.
I didn't see your e-mail, but you can contact me at

Louis Quintal's Barber Shop
So an interesting 2nd Great Grandfather was Joseph Methot (d. 1939) who died in Louis Quintal's barber shop on April 4, 1939. It actually states this on his death certificate! I noticed you follow the Quintal's family line and thought you would find this interesting. I actually had to laugh out loud! That must have been some haircut! ha-ha.

Also, you manage the memorial for my 3rd great-grandfather and his wife (Adolph Methot and Marguerite). Would you consider transferring these to me so I can manage them moving forward? I have a lot of information to input and your consideration would be greatly appreciated.

I am happy to share documents or whatever additional information I can that you would find helpful. There is an Adele Quintal listed on the grave marker for my great grandfather (Joseph Methot, Jr d. 1967) under him and his wife's names. I wonder why?

Look forward to hearing back from you!

RE: John Hartigan
You are correct, according to the cemetery's online database. In the photo's caption, I put a listing of Hartigans and Warrens that are buried in this plot. If there are others with different last names in addition to those listed, I don't know.

RE: Doc photo and more
moved Doc's photos ... thanks again.

BTW ... you may be interested in reading about the dark side of Doc in the book best-seller that came out in 1955 about a bastard child of his ... yes ... true. title: The Greer Case. 1955 pub. author: David Peck. I gave copies to two who knew the man when they were just boys ... both of whom had their lives saved by Doc. (one of the last survivors of the Valley) ... they were stunned. quite the story. think you'll be interested in this bit of Quabbin Valley back history.

all the best wishes for the Holiday to you and your family.

hello again and best whises
Hello BD and very fast note ..

first ... to wish you and your family the very best of Holidays.

you're living in Belchertown, you might find that J. Armstrong's son, "Jr." died there in your town in like 1970s "of unknown nativity".

at this writing, it's uncertain to me that he'd lived on a cot in the Belchertown fire station or not ... am researching that aspect right now.

have interviewed witness that he did live in a chicken house on Webster Rd. in Enfield (MA) circa 1937 .. with the chickens. all of it owned by the Howe's (of said book fame, etc.). he had a cook-stove and cot in there quite comfortable. hear also that such a thing was not uncommon then back there in "the valley"..

so as such for the name Armstrong ... "the line came to its end" there in Belchertown, as the old books said back then.

again ... many thanks and all the best to you and yours.

RE: Jeremiah Armstrong
Hello BD ... and thanks much for your very kind note. yes ... will take up your idea ... but must explain that I'm a computer dummie ... so will give it my best shot and hope for the best.

by the way, I'm the guy who added all those old "Real Estate Photos" to the Quabbin Park site of the town hall and such. I tired to add some equally dated "Real Estate Photos" the State had also made of the original graveyards, but Find a Grave said 'no'. alas, might try again.

do appreciate your efforts out there at the Park. I've sent past 5+ years studying up on some of the Quabbin folks and am very glad to see that someone (like you) has located some of these folks at the Park. I appreciate your efforts.

I think you'll find Howe's outline of J. Armstrong most compelling.

thank you again and hope we can keep in touch.

You have some wonderful photos attached to Elizabeth Dillon Gilmore. Do you have any idea who the other people are in the large group photo ( your caption only calls out Martin, Mary and Elizabeth )?
My great, great grandfather was Patrick Dillon, Elizabeth's brother.
