|tinker jacquette||William Tom Collins|
Tom was a veteran of the Civil War. He served with the 114th Regiment, Co.F Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry also known as the Collis' Zoaves.
Could this be added to his "find a grave" posting? Thanks

Can you possibly tell me the lot that Eleanor Gunning Bussell rests in at Leverington Cemetery. There are many Bussells there, but, she had left my gt gt grandfather many years before and they aren't buried together. He is in Lot 16 Sec 3 Div C, John A. Bussell. I thought she may have been buried with members of the Gunning family, but, haven't found them there.

If you ever get the opportunity to come to Oregon---the Willamette National Cemetery is very beautiful trees, views of the mountains, deer, birds, etc. It is only 10mins from the Portland Airport.

I checked the original photo and the only thing I see, before cropping the photo, is FOY. I can't see anything else. Sorry. Try calling the cemetery. I have been there before and they are very helpful.

|sr/ks||touch-up done for Mabel Harmer Shorton|
Thanks for your note about Mabel. I linked her to her dad as you requested. I added Mabel to the site (as I did for a few Shortons from Manayunk/Roxborough) because there is some association between my Storkey family and some Shortens/Shortons... there is an Edward S. (about 1921-1923) who is in our plot and handled by the same undertaker but I can't find the connection... I'm telling you all this just in case you know or trip over it later.
I don't know if you're interested, but there seems to have been 2 Shorten/Harmer marriages. One was my Mabel Harmer marrying Benjamin Shorten, while Grace Estelle Shorten married Charles Wesley Harmer. Interesting as there were not a lot of Shortens or Harmers in the Philadelphia area- these families might have been close.
Anyway, thanks for having me get Mabel linked up.

So glad I could be of help in family finding each other. I added the links for the parents and spouse. I love old photos and the ones you have posted on your other links are wonderful. I am transferring Joseph and Elizabeth to you for safe keeping. Merry Christmas!

|James McMahon||RE: Michael Carden|
Ruth, thank you for your return mail. The Carden's buried in St. John's churchyard may be relatives of my grandmother Maryann Carden McMahon. The only relatives I know for sure buried at St. John's is my great uncle Hugh McMahon, my grandfather Dennis McMahon's brother. He was killed shortly before my Father was born in 1916. My father was baptised Hugh in honor of his deceased uncle. We heard bits and pieces of these stories throughout the years but unfortuately were never able to do the reasearch to find out more. I am 66 years old. I have two living aunts,the only surviving sisters of my father. They are Theresa McMahon Kennedy almost ninety and Bernadette eighty eight. Their memories are vague regarding the family history. Any information you may receive regarding the Cardens or McMahon's if your research takes you in that direction, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your correspondence. Jim McMahon

My name is Jim McMahon I am a great grandson of Michael Carden. I was wondering if James Carden is related, and if so in what way.
