Photo requests
Your requests for the Terry Cemetery in San Saba County. Sarah Elizabeth Terry, 1848-1865 died before the cemetery was established in 1880.The funeral home papers from Cleburne say that the body is to be shipped to San Saba for internment in the Terry Cemetery. But there is no tombstone t for him there.

RE: Loren Hooper Terry
I changed the info on this back to match the memorial stone for the person buried here. The problem with the new auto edits is that people change things and aren't always correct.
Sorry.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. If you don't respond to my edit request within 3 weeks, Find A Grave will take care of it for you. Or we can request that Find A Grave merge our two memorials, if you have no objection to that.

Burl Wright Burleson # 67301026 in Huntington Cemetery - memorial has been updated - please REMOVE the death certificate. I do not post DC's to memorials unless burial location is in question and then only for the extremely old lost cemeteries. Thank you, I do appreciate info, just no DC's!

RE: John Burleson
The reason I suggested getting the plot info is because this is a very, very large cemetery. I'm not sure if you knew that or not. It has I know probably upwards of close to 75,000 - 80,000 graves at least (maybe more.) and growing each week. And only about 45,000 of those have been entered into findagrave so far. And of those 45,000 only about 78% have been photographed. So, without a grave location it's virtually impossible for a photo volunteer to go and get a picture of a specific grave in this cemetery and your request may go unfulfilled for a very long time. I've seen requests posted for years on this cemetery before someone finally got a location and found the grave to photograph it. It's not a small graveyard that a person can just stroll around in hoping to accidentally run across the grave they are looking for in a couple of days. Most volunteers ask that people call the cemetery and get a location before they can go get a photo request filled in this particular cemetery. Hope you understand.

Thanks again!

You'll have to pardon me. I guess I didn't understand. When you say it's not necessary, do you mean you don't need a photo taken or do mean you already have someone who knows where the grave is that will get the picture for you? I see you still have the request up. Sorry if I'm not clear on what you mean.

Thanks!

Hi,
Is it possible you could please contact the cemetery office for a section and lot location and then post a note on your photo request stating the location. Your photo request will get filled faster that way. It's a very large cemetery. The phone number is 214 388 8887. Thanks!

Hi Judith,
All I know is what was on her marker. William H N Gray is on the same marker and his death is recorded in BC Vital statistics, if that helps at all

I've just started researching and unfortunately my Uncle Jimmy last of Albert's children just passed away this year, his ashes will be buried with Granny and Papa April of this year. Also buried at New Hope is Aunt, Mildred Louise Terry Prather

Not sure how your line hooks up with mine, know the Brodie's came from Ireland and Scotland but thought all Terry relatives where from Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee

It was my pleasure to do these headstone photos for you, I find it fascinating to do these pictures for find a grave. I've been into genealogy since I was young and now that I am retired it helps me pass the time. If I can be of any help just let me know and I will try to find what you need in the Southern Illinois area. Karen Crowson-Stout
