RE: Kohsers
Thank you for your response! I haven't been able to make a link either. I know that Wayne Zill has a pretty extensive history on the Kohsers. He might have a link that doesn't have a grave, so it isn't here, but is there. (That is his user name here and he is waynecz on ancestry, I believe. But then, you might already know him.) I did a search on their forums and found an old thread where he posted a big piece of our family, Charles Jr.'s history.

They just have to be brothers. They settled the same place and are not far apart in age. But, they could be cousins so I am not going to place them yet either. Do you know when Jacob arrived in Penn.? That could help as well. Sometimes they arrive together, or just a year apart. If I remember, he is the one who dies in one place but is brought back to Penn to be buried. Am I thinking of the right one?

My membership at ancestry isn't active at the moment, but I am dlbrigante over there. I did see a leaf for the ship's manifest on Charles and Catherina. If I put Jacob in my tree without attaching him and reactivate my account, I could see if Jacob has a connection.

Whew. Long winded of me for a public post. Sorry. I think my email address is in my profile. I am on my phone, so not easy to check. I am very interested in following this up because I want to go back one more generation if possible. That would make 4gggg-grandparents for my kids to see their history on their dad's side. Exciting stuff!!

Blessings,
Debbie

RE: Catherine Geddes

Thanks for adding the info. I just happened to stumble upon her name in an old obit.
I'm working on creating memorials for some of my wife's family. Catherine's mother and my wife's grandfather were brother and sister (i.e. Catherine and my mother-in-law were first cousins).

Regards,
RonC

Jacob and Mary Croft Beck
Dear Lisa,

I had hoped to download the headstones for Jacob and Mary Beck, but it is just a white field with a red x in the upper left hand corner.

Why can't I see the headstones?

Why can't I open it?

Hi Lisa,
We´ve had contact before and thanks for your help previously. Was wondering if it would be okay to use any of you pictures on my ancestry.com tree; especially the LawCo, Ohio, area. Just noticed a Barbara Ann Frampton !

RE: Request for Virginia Lewis Hereford Hereford
How very interesting. Is the house still standing? I will have to check out online that historical state park. My Robert Hereford son of Robert and Virginia headed west in 1849. So the history got lost along the way. When I started doing genealogy years ago dad said we were related to Geaoge Washington. I kind of laughed to myself. It took me two years to find it. So when I showed it to him he looked at me like I was goofy and said "I told you that." :-) I love this stuff!

RE: Request for Virginia Lewis Hereford Hereford
Hey Cousin!! You posted that Robert and Mary's headstones were moved for historical significance. Can you tell me what that is? Always thinking on preserving our history.....Virginia Lewis Hereford was George Washington's great niece. maybe the museum would be interested in that. Maybe help in your project of cleaning up the cemetery. Just a thought. Thank you for the pictures again I have been looking for them for a long time. Zay

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for the pix of Robert and Mary Herefords headstone. I wish I could help you clean the cemetery. I love doing that. :-) I hope you will be able to find all of Virginia's headstone. Virginia Lewis Hereford is my 3rd great grandmother and Robert and Mary my 4th great grandparents. May I use your pictures of the headstones on my ancestry page? I will post with credit to you. Zay
