You had requested a photo, of the stone I assume. What do you want to know? I don't have a photo of the stone but he was my Uncle so I can probably help you.

You are very welcome, marty! It took me a bit of time to find Gloria's grave, but it was a pleasure to be able to photograph it. The Garberville cemetery is just up the street from my place, so it is an easy and interesting walk for me.

Annie Johnson
Hi Marty, Annie does not have a headstone. Her place is the only empty space in that row. The Manager showed me the spot and verified that is her plot. Please feel free to either keep or delete the photo. Debi

Frances Mangrum
I searched every inch of the cemetery looking for her, but couldn't find her. The request just said Frances Mangrum. I clicked on her memorial and seen her last name was Bell Mangrum. I seen a lot of Bells, but didn't think anything of it because I didn't know she had 2 last names until I already got home. I apologize. I will unclaim it so someone else can have a chance to help.

No problem. Visited this cemetery last year while geocaching. Thought I would look for Levi while I was there adding info for a person that was buried there. Let me know if you run across others in White County you would like to find.

You are very welcome...since none of my family is buried near me, this is a great excuse to go tromping through cemeteries, one of my favorite pastimes (except at night). And you're right ~ Find A Grave has helped me a lot with my family tree on I like it even more now that ancestry seems to have linked to the Find A Grave index and is showing us hints for memorials on Find A Grave. Have fun with your research! Robin

RE: Aggie Miller Riecke
No, but I have seen photocopies of photographs of Frank and Aggie with their children. They were published as part of a history project by Marguerite Drucella Cook, "Southern Humboldt Papers", and appeared in Volume 8 pages 3 & 4. It has photocopies of photographs and family histories of Parker family members as well as other families from Southern Humboldt: Hulls, Millers, Schumachers, Swithenbanks, etc. The author may be the same woman who published, "Pioneer Histories". I'm not sure if she is still alive as this project was done in the 1980s. Let me know if you are able to track down these photos, I would be interested in getting good copies of those photos, not the photocopies that appear in the book. The "Southern Humboldt Papers" can be found in the Redwood Room of the Humboldt County Library in Eureka.

The only other Parker original photos that I have is one of their son, Thomas Leo Parker and a few of their daughter, Jennie Anita Parker. Anita (nor her husband, Frank Hale) doesn't have a memorial to post the photographs. Anita and Frank both died in Garberville but I haven't been able to locate their graves there and I have tried to find them at least three times.

Nathaniel Jackson Parker and his wife, Charlott F. Nesbitt were married December 22, 1842 in Cincinatti, Ohio and had six children: Thomas Parker (1844-1922), buried at the Rohnerville Masonic Cemetery); Ebern Lewis Parker (1854-1928); John G. Parker (1860-?), he relocated in 1914 to Mexico; Frank J. Parker (1865-1901); James Parker (no dates available); and a daughter, Margaret Mary Parker (Mrs. James A. Millhollin) (1850-1917) who lived in Bear Grove, Guthrie County, Iowa.

Some information I have for Ebern's son, Frank, Jr.: Full Name: Frank Nathaniel Parker, Jr., born 29 July 1884 (you have 1984 on his memorial) in Garberville, California. He died on November 14, 1931 (location unknown) and was buried in Garberville on November 16, 1931. I suppose you can look up his obituary to find out where he died.

Thank you for your interest in the Parker family!

RE: Thank You
Hi Marty....Yes you did say thank you. James Walter Mangrum and I had the same Great Grandfather, James R. Mangrum. James R. Mangrum`s daughter Mary E Mangrum was my grandmother on my fathers side. I noticed Zelmas last name was Anderson. I too have a lot of Andersons in my family but I can not make a connection with your Andersons. I am a decendant of Charles V. Anderson, born about 1803 in VA. Most of them were from Arkansas and later moved to OK. If I can be of any help with your family just let me know. May God bless you. Don Matthews
