James Coffin Smith
How can anyone be as grateful as I for the photo of James Coffin and his wife, Amelia Ellen Hudson Smith's marker from way out here in Texas. I do know that the weather there has been cold and rainy so the effort you made is even more appreciated. I can now edit Findagrave to show JC instead of JD or James Coffin Smith.

A gg Uncle, James Smith died in an accident in the woods cutting logs. He was furnishing ties for the Erie railroad - by Marion Smith.

Thanks for answering this photo request. A distance of over 1,600 miles made it unlikely I'd ever be able to do this myself! Again, greatly appreciated!

Great Caesar's Ghost
The Rix family in Ford Cemetery
Hello and thanks for your messages.

1. The cemetery has been heavily vandalized and I believe that all of the identified stones have been photographed, but I could be wrong.

2. Polly Rix's stone actually reads "Wife of Lewis Rix". The maiden name Thompson was provided by the person who also contributed the obit.

3. Since you are conducting research on your own family line I think it best that I transfer all of the Rix family that I have to your care.

PS - When you visit this cemetery you might try to time your visit sometime after noon for best picture opportunities. Most of the stones face West. Hopefully you can add some better photos. Best wishes and regards - Doug.

Mason @ Forest Lawn MP
Hey John!

Thanks very much for fulfilling my photo requests for three Mason memorials at Elmira, New York. Your memorial photos are the best.

I just returned home from a trip to Bradford County, PA, where I photographed the remainder of the memorials at Checkerville Cemetery, where you and I first met.

Good to see you're still workin' the shutter, too. Keep up the good work.
