RE: Photo for Mary Ann Tharp Bevard
The grave inscription is as follows: Mary A. Wife of George Bevard, Born Jul 31, 1824, Died Dec 9, 1883

Feel free to use the picture however you wish.

My wife is from New Mexico. Her mother down on Baja in Mexico several years ago. We never made it down there.

Did not see any other Bevards but when I get down to that cemetery again I will look.

RE: Eleanor Howe Simpson
Hi Jacki,

Sometimes I use the California Tombstone Project to verify if a certain grave was recorded before I go hunting for it, most of the records are from 2004 so if there was a marker for your mother it should be listed there unless the marker was broken or unreadable. I checked the list at this link for an Eleanor Simpson and did not see her, could she be listed under another name?

Here is the link I looked at

Thanks Jackie.
It's been a real eye opener about the heart of folks as well as the power of information that can be found on the internet.
I am not a jaded person. Just a jaded find a grave volunteer :--)
Cheers! :-)

RE: Laura Tharp Bayless
Jacki--No, I do not have evidence of that. She and Joseph are listed as living in a house they owned in Chanute, KS in the 1905 census...but I am not sure she died in Chanute. --Vickie

Robert Howe #24184895
got your note about Robert's mothers maiden name being Dicks not Hix as the obit shows. The death certificate also shows Hix so I have posted both names just in case. Please let me know a connection if you can find where mother is burried so I can connect and make final correction to name. thanks
