Thanks for the pictures and corrections for Aunt Lolene and her husband Carl Garrett (my grandmother's brother). I live several hundred miles away, so I'm glad to have the pictures. I just had never heard of a female named Douglass before. But they do have it spelled a little different.

That is wild!!! Wonder why they were looking for her father's relatives not long after he died if he had a daughter.

That's an interesting one. I didn't realize her husband had even been married. Right after he died, it came out in the papers that they were looking for relatives to leave his estate to.
I knew that I had a connection, but of course a lot of other people probably do too---even a closer connection than mine--so I just let it slide. Wish I had been the ONLY living connection though!! He was pretty well off!!
Anyway--I was wondering if Irene's maiden name could have been Wiggins???
