Shields
I realize now that there was two different groups of Shields. I was thinking Marion Shields was a brother to John Shields (our Ford connection to the Shields) John & Penelope Shields moved to Hunt County in 1868. The sons of John & Penelope were The Texas Giants. I was curious about Syrena Carr, becuase i had just read about the Carr Brothers. Thank you for the information. I am going to read it carefully to see if i can find any connections to our family.

Picture of Home near Celeste
I have been updating my mother's family history of the Ford family. I was wondering if it would be ok to use your pictue of the home you have posted. Jack Robinson Shields married Minnie Alice Ford in 1914. Minnie Alice's Grandfather was my great grandfather's father. I would like to include your photo of the home in the Ford Book. Do you know if Mary Syrena Carr Shields was the sister to Waggoner & Warlick Carr? Thank you very much - Sue
