Unknowns in Rush Cemetery
Hello, I was wondering if you are able to make out any letters of the first or last names on the unknowns. I am looking for Martin & Elizabeth Holmes. A lot of there children & grandchildren are buried there & the rest of there children & grandchildren are in Lowder. I know they should be in one of them. Thank you!

RE: Redman Cemetery
Yes, there is a web-site that has listing of burials that were there- like 50 Years ago. I have talked with the local library- and a volunteer went to the site, and there is nothing left anymore. All stones are gone, just a small - curve in the road she told me. Otherwise- fields have over-taken the site. I am decedent as well. My fathers, mothers, father was a Redmond. I don't have access to the web site here at work, I'll try to send to you- this evening.

Langdon
Hello,
I see you have photos of my 6th great grandparents, Daniel and Phebe Langdon. Would you mind if I used them in my genealogy file?
Are you related to them by chance. You have done a wonderful job on theirs and the rest of the memorials for this cemetery.

Hi Brett,

Don't have any pictures of anyone from that side of the family, sorry to say. I'm lucky to have any Downen pictures at all considering how few and far between my visits have been to southern Indiana and Illinois.

Charles Waterman
Hi,
I took pics for your request. Charles Waterman's gravestone was not in too good of shape. There was some mud frozen to the stone in the lower right. I managed to chip enough of it off so the letters were not covered up. I trimmed the grass out of the way. It is a bit sunken. If you put in a new request next summer a lot better picture could be gotten. This is kind of a bad time of year to get good pictures in OR.

Lovisa Loomis
Thanks for the info for Lovisa, which I have added to her memorial. Although I am familiar with Henry and Else, I have no idea where they are buried. I only transcribed the very oldest section of that cemetery, and that was quite a few years ago. I wish I were in a position to help you locate their graves, but unfortunately I am not. If you fairly certain that they are buried in Union Cemetery, why don't you create memorials for them there and put in photo requests for their headstones. Hopefully one of the many area photo volunteers will respond. Happy Thanksgiving!

RE: Henry Lemuel Clark
But in your previous email you said she was Lucy Moses - now I'm confused.
Can you email at irene1941@cox.net
so we don't add all of this to FindAGrave?

RE: Henry Lemuel Clark
Brett,
Check the 1850 census for Henry (it is S instead of L - but should be L) his wife is Jane A. then on the 1860 census Henry has a wife named Lucia (and if the photo is correct it says Lucia Stevens).
Back to 1850 his children are Adelbert, Ellen, Rachael & Emma).
I know Jane Ann died 28 Feb 1859.
Check these facts over first & see what you think then let me know. I have a lot of info on the Leonard family that I am more than willing & happy to share.

First wife -
I was so pleased to see the picture of Henry Lemuel Clark & his children but the note about his first wife is incorrect; she was Jane Ann Leonard born 2 June 1814 in West Springfield, Hampden Co, Mass - she died 28 February 1859 in Ashtabula County, OH she was the daughter of Chauncy Leonard (1787 - 1859) & his wife Content Wheeler (1789 - 1866). My great grandfather James Harvey Leonard (1826 - 1879) was her brother). Jane Ann was the mother of all of the children pictured except Allen & Leo.
Thank you,

John Canaday
Hi Brett-- I walked the entire cemetery today and did not locate any Canaday headstones. There are many stones that need to be cleaned, so I will put this cemetery on my list for cleaning. If I locate John's headstone then, I will post it.
