RE: Agnes Gentz at All Saints
I found Agnes' grave right next to Antone's, although the Archdiocese of Milwaukee seems to have no record of it in their on-line database. Antone and Thomas are there, but not Agnes.

Photo requests for St. Stans
Your relative doesn't appear on the partial index of St. Stans. If you could contact the cemetery office at (989) 893-2697 and find out the location I would be glad to get your pic!!

RE: william Zoelle
Hello Barb,
It seems that we are doing the same research.
William Zoelle was my father-in-law. I am researching the Zoelle - Liefermann family.
What are you researching?
We are currently researching Steven/Stephen Zoelle 1950. He died as a baby. He is buried in the Calvary Cemetery. We know where he is buried but we are not finding his grave marker. I placed him on findgrave. He is a son of William Zoelle.
Have a great day,
Vickie Zoelle

RE: Edits
I suspected there was something different with all the Marys/Maries/Josephs.

I will not send you any more edits but you need to determine the best way to add these memorials. If the families were mostly unaware that the first names had been added, having them on Find A Grave would make the memorials hard to find. You might consider having the second name as the first name and then have the 'Mary/Marie/Joseph' and second name in the nickname field. That allows the memorials be be found but also documents their 'church (legal?)' names.

You also might consider the Find A Grave forums and ask there the best way to document these memorials if my suggestion above doesn't fit.

Have a good day,

RE: Hi Barb
Barb, the Huard line in St Elzier and St Severin are all connected to my Huard's GF or uncles and a few cousins, So I will take your Huard's in both Cemeteries since I have most of the research already done on them. Also the wife of one of my uncles #145065056, there is about 7 or 8 in all. My Find A Grave # is 47544559 thanks again.

Hi Barb
I would first like to commend you for such an upbeat Bio you wrote. It made my day. I agree with you in as much as it's all about trying to preserve information for future generations. If you wouldn't mind I would love a transfer of management for 146055367, 146116692 and 145723890. I had already put in some edits for these so don't do them and I will update the information as well as linking to their spouses. My Find A Grave # is 47544559. Thank you again for all the work and effort you are putting forth. Blessings Ellie

Additional Information
I do have a question for you but it is about where to find a record. I know one of my ancestors came into the Canadian Islands with the British army shortly before or around the Fenian Raids. I have been told that the records of his arrival are nearly impossible to trace. However his wife came into Canada from Prussia and they were married somewhere in Canada between the Islands and Ontario. They would have been married in the late 1850's early 1860's. I have looked and not found anything in the provincial records but another set of eyes looking is not always a bad idea. It is also possible that they were married by a military Chaplin. What I have found on this family is a Baptism Record in 1862 for their son in a Lutheran church around Montreal, Quebec. There names were Mary Schmitt or Smith and George Ambrose. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for their marriage records? Also one of their grand daughters died in Montreal in 1924, do you have any ideas how I would get her death record? I am not sure what she died of.

RE: Celestin Lafond St Alphonse
It looks like this is not the same person. Thank you for sharing that information. I am on the look out for someone by a similar name that would have been married with children in the 1911 census.

RE: Relocation of graves letter
Some of the "temporary" graves are unmarked (such as my grandmother's) like a potter's field. After a time they are used with more traditional burials and the section is renamed. I discovered another "temporary" field where there were some markers and the field was in the process of being plowed over and reused as well. I do not know the time frame when such a field is taken over to be used again.

RE: Philomene Gagnon Huard
I'm not sure yet! I'm still looking for her husband Eugene and daughter Lea Huard. Tons of my relatives that live in Canada I can't find. I'm a beginner genealogy searcher and don't know where to begin. Idon't know yet how the rest of the Huards are related. MY family name is Dostie-Desjardins-LaBelle. THANK YOU! I'll keep in touch. kj
