RE: Robert Nelson Kidd and Ellen Kidd
You're very welcome. I'm glad they have found family to care for them. Chris

RE: Wm Bradford
Oh my's more than just a piece of paper. You get a beautiful 8x10 embossed certificate with a gold seal and picture of the Mayflower ship with your name and the Pilgrim you belong to. I have both of mine framed hanging in the dining room. What a legacy to pass on to kids or other relatives! Very it. I'm planning a trip to Plymouth in Sept.... so excited to see all the Pilgrim sites.

Wm Bradford
I encourage you to join the Mayflower Society if you can prove through documentation that you are a BLOOD relative of Wm Bradford. I've done it. I'm related to TWO original Mayflower pilgrims.

Darrell Landrum
RE: Edward George McQuary
Hi are certainly welcome. I went back out to Old City yesterday morning and took a better quality photo than the ones I had originally posted. The director of Old City told me that there are McQuary family members who come out there often and keep the family plot cleaned up nicely. I assumed that there were already memorials up here on the sight for the other family members and did not take photos of their grave markers. It appears there are not memorials up here, so I will make an effort to take and post pictures of the other memorials in there as time allows.

Best regards,
Darrell Landrum

There's a Rufus Houghton buried in the next row whose lifespan would fit with being their son. Do you know anything about him by any chance?

I photographed both Houghton stones you've requested on Saturday, May 3, but find that the dedicated cable I need to offload the pix onto my computer was not returned when my son last borrowed my digital camera. I have claimed both photo requests on Find A Grave; these claims will expire in two weeks, after which I can't refile them. Just letting you know that I have the photos in case my sometimes pokey son does not respond or come up with the cable before the clock runs out.

Montague Wood
Hi, in response to your statement about Montague Wood's tombstone not being in the Wood Family Cemetery in Arrington, Nelson County, VA., I feel that you may have missed it in your visit to the cemetery.
His obituary stated "A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 20, 2007, at Wells-Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with the Rev. David Blevins officiating with Interment to follow in the Wood Family Cemetery in Arrington." Also the book, Cemeteries of Nelson Count, page 494, lists him and others like James Temple Wood as being buried there. You posted James' tombstone picture so it more than likely is the same cemetery where Montague Wood is buried. I did not take the picture of Montague's tombstone but it was taken and posted by Barbara Millner who posted other tombstone pictures from the same cemetery. So she must have seen it to be able to take the picture of his tombstone.
I appreciate your comment and your concern to ensure that the information posted on Find A Grave is accurate.

Robert W. Hudson

Thanks transferring Viola's dad. I penned a bio for him, albeit thin. I also wrote something for Susan S Williams. Now I would like to get there. It is a long way from Arlington, even if in the same state.

Thanks again for your collaboration.

Please transfer Robert W. Hudson, Find A Grave Memorial# 127417756, father of Viola Hudson Curd. I'd like to expand upon the bio, though I can't add very much. Thank you.

RE: Curd family cemetery

That makes us (very distant) cousins (by marriage). Now I've got everyone figured out except Susan Williams. Thanks for the link between the Pillows and the Curds.

By the way, I've already done a bio for Francis Curd and Willie. I'll work on the others tomorrow.

Thanks again.

RE: Curd family cemetery
Dear Rainbow Lady,

Thank you, first of all, for creating the memorials for the Curd family. When Vera Stober went and took the photos this week, all the pieces came together for me.

Thank you for making the corrections I requested. I hope I made as easy as possible with the numbers, etc.

Finally, thank you for transferring the memorials. That will enable me to expand upon the biographic information. The cemetery is located just a few miles, as the crow flies, from the small settlement of Curdsville, Virginia, where my people originated. From there, a several times great grandfather migrated to Kentucky in 1780 and I grew up there many years later.

I have now made the links among all but three people there, two men named Pillow and Susan S Williams. Your relatives are probably the Pillows. (I may yet figure out who Susan Williams is.)

Many thanks. It is great when this site works so well.
