Hi Roberta,

Did update for place of birth and date. Marriage is the 7th confirmed on the 11th by Msgr Niedbalski at Holy Trinity. Also name is Wladyslaw, in English Walter. Valentine would be Walenty.

Now, question for you. Came across a pic today on Facebook said to be Irene Bukowski, age around 1 or 2 at St. Joseph's Home for children. Do you know anything about this? There is a memorial for an Irene at Calvary. Any connection?

He should be your possession by now. If I have any others please feel free to ask. I am always happy to reunite families.

Good Luck on your family search.

RE: Burkhart, Mary Catherine
Mary Catherine's maiden name was Callihan. Her parents owned a tavern on the Southside. Her family lived above the bar when it was opened and she and my Uncle Bernard lived above it when they were married. I don't know when the bar was closed, but they rented the down stairs. Aunt Mary Catherine was a nurse and went to St. Joseph's Hospital to get her Registered Nurses Degree. She and my Uncle worked at St. Joseph's and then worked at Jefferson. I hope this helps you. I would also like to know more about her. They never had children.

McMahon names in Calvary
If you find persons of your family line where memorials are made by others, you can request the transfer of the memorial to you by using the 'edit' function on the memorial page. Always, include your contributor Id #.

I know for a fact that there are a great many more photos for Calvary which have not yet been uploaded (I have probably 1500 that need to be uploaded). So keep checking back periodically. There are several of us uploading to several cemeteries in the area.

John & Margaret McMahon Family Monument

I transferred this memorial to you for you to add information etc.

I do not live in Pittsburg nor do I live in PA; I live in Oklahoma and am assisting a man who has photographed thousands of headstones in the Pittsburg area get them uploaded to Find-A-Grave. If you find other family members of your McMahon line that I have created memorials for, please send me an email using the 'edit' function on the memorial page and I will transfer. Please include your Find A Grave contributor ID number. While I normally do not look up these numbers I wanted to get this transfer made so took time to look it up. I get as many as 50 request a week and it is just too time consuming to look all these numbers up (especially when I have some 2000 photos to get uploaded right now).

I transferred Zofia's and Jozef's memorial to you. I also added pic for Romuald Bukowski and deleted Ronuald that I had added.I've uploaded over 1,000 St Stan & Holy Trinity records from Trinity Cem., so if you need anything else, let me know. All records are from pics I have taken. I've done this because so little was on record for Trinity and I had to search all over for my family records. Zofia's & Joseph's stone may be near large headstones for Kaminski & Wieczorek somewhere in the center of H.T. Section.
