|Bear Hugs||RE: Thanks|
Thank you Beverly, your kind words are greatly appreciated and I am glad I could help you, in some small way. The one headstone was very difficult to photograph because of the huge amount of lichens growing on it. We tried at different times of the day to get a "reasonably good" photo for you, but couldn't.

Thank you for the additional info. I have added it to the posting.
Have a great day!

I'm taking over management for Marjorie's (deceased) original postings. I don't have her records, can't find anything on my usual internet search and don't know this family. Sorry I can't help.

Catherine would be my great great grandmother on my father's side. I'm trying to research her mother, the Cherokee mother, and wondered if you had any idea what her name was. Thanks for any help or direction you can point me.

|Tonya||RE: Lydia Collins Upshaw Alsup|
Hi, found a page that I printed off in 2012 from rootsweb.com.. It states a story from A Reminiscent History of the Ozark Region. The story is that Leroy Upshaw was killed by William N. Alsup who then married his widow Lydia Collins Upshaw. The ambush supposed to have happened in Rockbridge, Missouri in 1856. Hope this helps.

You're welcome. I know the time it takes to acquire the family history and money too. I made five trips to Europe myself.
You're doing a good job yourself, love the photos. Say, I even love your puppy dog.

|Sue Ann Harfst||Roseanna McCauley Smith at Emmett, Idaho|
According to the interment log for this cemetery, Roseanna McCauley Smith is buried with/by Anna McCauley (date of burial 5/1/1972), E. Smith (no first name or date of burial), Mattie Smith (no date of burial), Richard T. Smith (date of burial 10/7/1974), and William L. Smith (date of burial 3/1/2006). This cemetery puts the date of burial in their log, rather than the date of death.
There are a LOT of other Smiths in the cemetery, and quite a few more in the general area of Roseanna. Those are the closest, as best I can tell from the book. I don't anticipate getting to Emmett any time soon, so I hope that this information can be of some help to you until someone claims your request. If you have a specific name or names other than Roseanna to inquire about, from Emmett, feel free to ask. I copied their interment log.

To expedite with your photo request for William L Burkholder. I have looked up his burial information for you. He is laid to rest at Forest Lawn (Hollywood Hills) in section Vale of Peace, Map# A54, Lot 5681, Space 3.
I am also sending a editing request to his memorial. This information makes it so much easier for the volunteers to find the markers.
Have a wonderful day,

No problem, I'm glad to help. However, I'm trying to get the contributor to note it in the plot info. The reason, so that it will show up on any future photo requests lists by another contributor and prevent them and a volunteer from wasting their time because they didn't think to open the memorial and see my note. Whereas, having it noted in the plot field it won't be missed and will automatically alert anyone about it being unmarked. So far, no luck in getting her to post it though. She only will post the plot numbers so far. But I will keep trying. I feel that is a logical thing to do. If no success, then I can get Find A Grave admin to enter it if I have to.
PS. I will go ahead email you the photo I had taken of the area and was going to post if you'd wanted me to so that you can see the plot area and have it to refer to if you ever decide to go view the area.

I have located the grave of Issac Templeton. However, he is in an un-marked grave. I have a photo of the area that he is buried in and have label his location in the photo. Would you like me to place the photo or leave it without the photo?
Added by KBounds on May 14, 2014 4:17 PM
Hi, is it possible you could contact the cemetery office for a section and lot location and then post a note on your photo request stating the location. Your photo request will get filled faster that way. It's a very large cemetery. The cemetery phone number is 214 388 8887. Thanks!
