Jamie,

Your so very welcome. Will visit Berry and Half Rock Cemeteries again sometime soon. I hope that I may find some of your photo requests.

Sent you an email regarding Eastern Cemetery. I've spent about a year there, photographing memorials. Email will give a little explanation.

RE: Disregard
I just want to give you some additonal help. Please contact Phillip DiBlasi, head of the antropolgy dept. at Univ. of Lou. I understand he has identified cremains and database of where some people are buried. He or his dept. may be able to help you.

Also Google...eastern cemetery louisville kentucky for what other people have to say. I'm so sorry that Cave Hill hasn't taken it over, but I understand their reasons. They run a very classy profitable operation and why would they want to take on an albatros that even the state isn't concerned about or willing to finance or assist in anyway. It would be such a bad business move for Cave Hill. But, if I had people there I would want someone to take charge and be responsible.

In the future I will encourage anyone requesting pictures at Eastern to Google the cemetery and read about it. I was trying to be careful/sensitive of how I worded the "problem" on Find A Grave and all I did was create a mystery.

RE: Broyles
Jamie,

So glad to come across another cousin. I have Lewis and Elizabeth Calvert in my database along with 9 children, Eliza Jane being the last child. The information that I have on this line comes from my father-in-law, who recently passed away last September. I have been given the genealogy, but I haven't been able to go through it with a fine toothed comb as of yet and check and verify the information. Sure wish that I could help more than this. My line of Broyles settled in the Harrison Co., Missouri area. They were from Washington and Greene Co., Tennessee and then back into Culpeper and Orange Co., Virginia. The line immigrated from Otisheim, Germany. I have the line back as far as Hans Breyel, who died about 1635 in Dusslingen, Germany.

Here is the page for our family genealogy:

I am hoping to give this page its own URL sometime this summer. Right now I am a full-time student and the time is just not there to devote to it right now.

Please do keep in contact! :)

Shelley
