Oliver Drue McCann
Hi, I am of the McCann family and have been contacted by a member of the cemetery police about these memorials being duplicates. I have taken a photo of Oliver's stone at the Old Sarepta Cemetery in Webster Parish, Louisiana buried with his family. Is your marker positively in Tarrant County, Texas where OD died? I have found several exact stones placed in two cemeteries for different reasons. If this is the case I would like to add a note to each memorial bio as I do not know for sure which is just a memorial stone and which is his grave. Thanks for your help. Have a blessed day and happy hunting. Donna

Thank you for creating this memorial to my paternal great-grandfather. I was wondering if you would be willing to surrender maintenance of the memorial to me.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.

John Moore Massey Headstone Photo Incorrect

The memorial for John Moore Massey has the wrong headstone photo attached. While the memorial is not managed by you, the headstone photo was added by you and I do not think the owner can delete the photo.

Molly Lindsey
Arry Hester Hovater

Arry's name is spelled many different ways on various records. I have it the way her family spelled it on her grave stone.

Files Valley Cemetery
This relates to the status of the cemetery in Files Valley, TX. In the 1970s, a board was established to oversee maintenance of the cemetery. All of the board members are now deceased. In order to insure some level of maintenance going forward, a new board should be established. A meeting seems necessary to reestablish the board and the first group to make contact with, before going to the general population of the community, in my opinion, should be those FindAGrave Contributors who have shown an interest and demonstrated some effort to preserve the memory of those interred there. If you have experience in managing small cemeteries and/or the interest to participate in this process, please contact me via email at

Regards and thanks for all your work for FindAGrave.

Hello. I requested a modification for this memorial and you declined. You said it did not match your records. Can you transfer to me? She is my great great great grandmother. Thanks.

Help me out here on your auto correction! I can't find any reference to this in historical documents and it seems odd that she would be Caroline when she had a sister Carrie. -Rebecca

Family records show his death to be in Texas. Is there proof of the Los Angeles, CA death ?

RE: John Scott Young Family photo
Hi Don...sure I can help a bit. Starting at bottom right is RUTH AMANDA YOUNG (my wifes grandmother)married Landon C. Slimp. Next is MAVIS PARK (JOHN SCOTT's second wife. Then comes John followed by IDA YOUNG. Standing in back are JOHN LESLIE YOUNG, CHARLES EDGAR YOUNG, EARLY ARTHUR YOUNG and HOMER T. PARK (Mavis's son). Unfortunately I don't know who's who of the boys standing...sorry!

You have been a busy boy! Thanks for your care. One edit I was a bit concerned about. I don't think I have any info stating that Mabel C. Vallow Gardner's middle name was Clarissa. Stands to reason, her mother's name, but nothing stating that in my records. Wondering what you info have on her, and where it came from? Thanks for all your work! LuLu
