Jasper & Osmond Byron

Would you please tell me where you found a record/documented with the the middle name of Newton for Jasper Byron, Owingsville Cemetery, Bath Co, KY. And the middle name of Fairworth for Osmond Byron Sr., Owingsville Cemetery, Bath Co, KY.

I like to have my memorials as correct as possible, and don't use hear say or what someone has on a family tree as we know many mistakes are found in family trees.

Edward Roesch
Thank you for your email about Edward Roesch. The entry was done from a cemetery transcript. My husband and I photographed the majority of this cemetery and did not find a stone for him. Based on your information I am going to delete my entry rather than declare it a cenotaph. The transcript was compiled from several different people and sources so I am pretty sure it was a mistake. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Mary Stanton Gibson Matthes
Hi Don,

Thanks for the correction on the city of birth of Mary Stanton Gibson Matthes. I had used the information from her obituary which is evidently incorrect since I just now found her birth certificate. I have made notes in her biography to explain the difference between the obituary city of birth and the actual city of birth.

I really appreciate the correction!

Rudy Mace
Thank you for the information on Rudy. It reminded me that I was once in the process of trying to find the lost photo of his headstone. I was able to finally have an expert (my son, who lives out of state) extract all of my older photos from the hard drive of my dead PC. It had been put to death my malware and viruses. Anyway, I still cannot find the photo, so I will go and retake it.

PS - I am now a devoted Mac user!

RE: Connie Yeatts Query
Connie Mack Yeatts is a man. He was named after the world-famous baseball player Connie Mack (during the 1940's and 50's). He was married to Marilyn Gwen Givens who is still living.
Connie Mack's parents were Oather E. Yeatts 1910-1972 and Cleo Ridley 1915-2007.

Lorianne Robinson
Regarding the 'Tate' memorial
My name is Lori Anne Robinson. I am new to this site and I hope I am contacting the right person. :)
I have been researching my family tree and actually came here to upload a photo of my grandparents grave marker and I found that it is already here. Yay!
I thank you for that. Your name Mr. Leuty sounds very familiar to me and I wonder if you were a friend of my Papaw's...
I wanted to let you know that I have placed a request to update the name on my grandfather's memorial. His name has been entered as James Truman Tate with his nickname as J. T. and I wanted to let you know that this information is not correct.
I am certain of my information because when he was in his upper 80s he showed me his birth certificate and the unique naming convention for his first name. It actually said J. (initial only) T. (initial only) complete with the parenthesis. I believe the mistake here was made because he named his only son James Truman. His way of having a Jr. without really having a Jr.
Even though I don't know what happened to his birth certificate to prove that his name was indeed just J T Tate, and not James Truman Tate, it is easy to confirm by looking him up on complete with birth year and death date. His SS death record will appear, complete with his zipcode there in Rockdale Tx where he lived. 76567 This record will show his full name is J T Tate. I would appreciate this correction. I know for certain that my grandfather would want it to be right. Thank you. Lori Anne (Ginn) Robinson daughter of Mary Louise (Tate) Yates daughter of J T Tate and Mary Iva Tate

He is buried in the vacant space, without a stone. I included the other stone as a clue to where he is buried.
