Philip Hand
I am Theresa Smith and have the Rosendale-Landwehr tree at but I do not belong there anymore. Philip Hand was my great-great grandfather. My great grand father was William Henry Hand, and my grandmother Marguerite Hand. I have a better tree stored elsewhere and can give you access to any of them. Could you email me so that I can have access to your tree at My email is I can see your tree only if you provide me with access.

Lawrence Hand

I was at Homewood Memorial yesterday for your request. He is not in their records as being in that cemetery. Can you give me a little bit of more information, as to how you know it't that cemetery and I might be able to locate him.

RE: Bernard Ohnemus
Yes please do use the headstone photo once I put them on Find A Grave as far as I am concerned they are free use. If I come across anything else on Bernard I will let you know

RE: Thank You!
You are most welcome during checking the local records I came across a very short Obit for a Bernard Ohnemus which was published in the Pueblo Chieftain 2.19.1924 he died 2.18.1924 aged 63 yrs.
The only other likely info I could find on a Bernard was in the 1910 and 1920 Census living in Denver Co I don't know if this is of any use to you I have created a memorial page if you search his name, there must have been a Pueblo Connection for him to be in the local newspaper?

RE: Thank you
I just thought of something. The Chicago Heights library has all of the obituaries since 1900 that were printed in the Star, the local newspaper. I am hoping to go there one day soon and I will check to see if there is an obituary for them. May-be that might name the cemetery. It might give a lead.

There is a town Oak Lawn about 10 miles away and I will look at a listing that I recently found to see if I can locate another possible cemetery.

RE: Thank you
You are correct. Oak Lawn is Homewood Memorial Gardens, now. Usually, there is no problem in finding Oak Lawn information. I also saw that the death certificate said Oak Lawn, which was another reason why I double checked. I have been finding that the death certificates did not agree with the cemetery records, and two cemeteries confirmed this. Since Chicago Heights is near by, it makes sense, that they would be in Homewood Memorial. I even tried the cemetery across the street. I am planning right now on going to another near-by cemetery on Monday. I will check that one. I am running out of ideas. I even tried the cemetery listings done by the local genealogy society, and they were not there.

Lawrence Hand
I went back to the office of Homewood Memorial today. Here is the location for Rosa, Section AOR, Lot 3, Grave 3. (The owner of this plot is the cemetery.) There are 2 more Hand buried there, Lydia and Louis. (They died 2 days apart.) I have the information for them, if they are your relatives. There is no record for Lawrence or Mary Hand. I checked the cemetery across the street and they are not there either. Sorry, that I can't be of more help.

Could there be another first name? The cemetery office told me that there was no record for a Lawrence.

William Harris - Pilot Knob Kentucky
Hi - I found a headstone for a Mary Harris and on it is written that she was the wife of William Harris. It is in the back in an older part of Pilot Knob Cemetery, and there are a lot of broken head stones, so William may be near. There are a lot of Harris graves there. Since it is not the correct memorial, I didn't post the pictures.
