Don

It's nice to meet another relative. Who were your grandparents/great-grandparents?

Don
Wayne and Wava are with the Lear family next to Sadie and Rex Lear. Mt. Hope, Springview NE.

Does this help?

Would you like me to continue to send you information regarding the Carr, Lear, Snyder families?

Thanks again.

Don, I photographed Sophia Frakes headstone for you. It looks like William's name is there & date of birth but no date of death. Don't know if he's there or not. Bonnie Lopez

It look's like that there could have been grave stone at one time..but there not there now..

There is a head stone of a silver war vet that needs to be fixed, put up right..it look's like someone pulled it out..I will be fixing today some time today..Before someone steals it..

RE: Lt. Alonzo Cady
After two years, I couldn't tell you who I contacted - and as long as Lt Cady has his stone raised, it doesn't matter! I'm in the cemetery several times a week and will watch the progress. Thank you for doing this.

Could you notify me when this happens? I found the stone three years ago, notified Metro and the Cady family and the Sons of Union Veterans, without success. I'd like to watch Lt. Cady's resettlement

Lt. Alonzo Cady
What's the latest on Lt. Cady? What happened to the work crew? Do you have the correct location of his grave?

I plan on being there. I'm guessing the 16th around 1:00, at least that is what i read you send to AKH.
Please let me know if there are any changes in dates or time.

Don, we should check the dates, not sure if Mortimer is the son of Theodore, the dates don't seem right.
Also, I am not related, just putting together the information of the Civil War Veterans.
I will try to look further when I have some time and see if the connection should be made.
Sincerely,
Laura Smith

You requested a photo of Charles Rogers @ Coquille Pioneer Cemetery. There is a Chas A Rogers, 28th Inf. buried in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Bandon. Possibly the fellow you are looking for? http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=rogers&GSiman=1&GScid=2187515&GRid=31209170&

RE: John BARE Photograph
Thanks for your reply, Don! I loved the old photo!! My hubby is also a member of the SUVCW, but he only has one great grandfather who served to qualify him. We have done all the Civil War Veterans in our local cemetery (Graceland, Avoca, IA), and I have a virtual cemetery for it. We are "suppose" to be working on the Adams County, IA cemeteries, but have been at a standstill all summer on that project. I do have a virtual cemetery of what we have done so far for that, too. Thanks for all the time you devote to making sure our Civil War Veterans are not forgotten!! Barb

What an interesting OLD photograph you have posted for John BARE in the Harlan, Iowa Cemetery. I wonder how long ago that might have been taken with not many graves showing past the family stone. Also that is a paved street now rather than the "path" that appears in your photo. Great old photo with the appearance that it could have been fairly soon after burial with the grass/weeds not grown over yet. Thanks for sharing! Barb

My Aunt told me that there was a Creson buried there, but I am not sure how he is related? She and Harvey H. Creson lived in Bend for many years. Hope this helps you in your search.

Sorry I can not help you on Samuel Creson. I am not related by blood to them. My connection to the Creson's is through the marriage of my Mother's sister to Harvey Henry Creson, his father was Oscar Henrey Creson. I do not know where Samuel is buried,,Sorry. Are you related to them?
