|Lisa Shorter||Lula Marguerite Daily Watkins|
My name is Lisa (Watkins) Shorter and I am the great-granddaughter of Charles William Watkins. I was wondering if you have any information as to his wife Lula. One of my family members told me she was Cherokee indian. I only know where she was born and since both my grandparents and parents are no longer living I have no information.
Thanks so much!

My great-grandfather was George Packard Brown, Jr. I remember he and my great-grandmother from our trips to West Fork, Arkansas, when I was a child.
Elvin Brown was the youngest of seven children of George P. Brown, Jr. and Mary C. Blosser Brown. I have other information if this is of interest to your wife.

Thanks for finding them. I have sent them to you. In the future just ask for a transfer. No need to send me all the info. That is time consuming for you. As long as someone wants to work on my memorials I don't care if or how they are related. To me that is what it is all about. I live real close to Hillgrove cemetery and have photographed all the old stones.

Hi Jim, I am a descendant of William Wadkins (sometimes spelled Watkins) from Find A Grave Memorial# 100837977. I have a strong hunch that my William's father - Stephen Wadkins/Watkins - was related somehow to Jonathan and Clarissa Clary Allen Watkins. I noticed that some of their children lived to Morgan County, Indiana, around the same time that Stephen would have lived there. Another reason for the hunch - I found many of the same surnames from my family in Mason County, Kentucky, mentioned along with Jonathan & Clary's family in historical books. My William (on the censuses) listed his father born in Indiana & sometimes in Ohio.
Some trees (on Ancestry.com) list a Stephen Watkins as one of Find A Grave Memorial# 64946779's children, but I do not see him listed as one of his children on the memorial. Perhaps Stephen wasn't Jonathan & Clary's son, but maybe a nephew.... Just wondering if you have any info on a Stephen Watkins born around 1820, related to that Watkins line. He married a woman named Rebecca. William lived in Morgan Co., Indiana, Jasper Co., Ill., Warren Co., Iowa, Jasper Co., Iowa, and died in Garland Co. Arkansas. He lived with a Dotson family for awhile. Any help would be appreciated.
Even if you can't help me with this, I just want to say thank you very very much for all the work you have so obviously put into the Watkins family for find a grave.

In the 1910 census for this couple it states they had 4 children only 2 on whom were living. Does anyone know anything about that 4th child? and does anyone know if their daughter, Mary H. ever married and to whom???
Thanks for your help! Kathy

|Kathy Martin||John C. Watkins, 1826-1892|
My name is Kathy Martin and I am researching my husband's famiy. He descends directly from William Watkins and Rachel Mullens.
I am challenged with the family of Jeremiah Allen Watkins & his three wives. Currently am stuck on the children of his first wife, Susan W. Miles. According to the Find A Grave site, they had 4 children, John C. Watkins, Joseph Watkins, Matilda J. Watkins and Elizabeth Watkins. There is record on Find A Grave of John C. Watkins with 2 wives, Mary J. Hardock & Mary Jane Moyer. My problem is that there are other records which have John C. Watkins born and dying on the same day, 3 May 1826, and a 5th child for Jeremiah & Sarah by the name of Jonas Watkins, married to the two women we have record of marrying John C. I see the grave marker here and wonder how there could be such conflicing informtion. Can you enlighten me at all??? I would be grateful for any information you have. Thanks, Kathy
