Typo Correction to Geneology
Hi Elizabeth,

Ellen Hunter is the grandmother of my grandmother. My grandmother was born in 1905. My own mother's grave is located next to my grandmother's grave. Both graves are a few feet away from the gravesite of Ellen Hunter. Do you have any historical information that was not disclosed?

Who Are You Related To?
Hi Elizabeth Shaner,

Looks like you have the wrong Ellen Hunter. I am the great, great granddaughter of Ellen Hunter. Mrs. Hunter's granddaughter was my granddaughter. Both Ellen's daughter and granddaughter are buried near her gravesite. The tombstone pictured is that of my great great grandmother. My grandmother shared volumes of oral history on Ellen Hunter. Your name is not at all familiar. Our family-including Ellen Hunter are African American. Could you be mistaken?

Elizabeth, Thank you for getting back to me. I plan on visiting the cemetery when I return to visit my cousin in Crystal River. Maybe we can meet at the cemetery. Don't know if you reside in Crystal River. Jim

Crystal River African American Cemetery
Elizabeth,
Thank you for documenting this cemetery. I would like to sponsor an early death of any person from your Crystal River African-American Cemetery. I see a Mary West who died in 1914. Is there an earlier person who died before 1914 who I can sponsor, I may have missed him or her.

Please let me know.

I visited my cousin in Crystal River two days ago, missed seeing this cemetery, would have loved to see it, maybe on my next visit.

Jim

Pictures
I notice that you left pictures in Scrubgrass Cemetery in Venango County, PA. On memorial number: 108109616, it looks like you added the same picture twice. The pictures are so small that you can not really see them. You might want to remove the duplicate picture.
If you have the original picture, I think I could scan it and get the picture to be bigger. Let me know if you would like me to do that.

I am on there as JersyJovigrl...and I have a great deal of info as well.Everything I have seen on Addison has his name listed as Addison Eli...even the death certificate...is there a birth certificate that you have found that shows he is Eli Addison and not Addison Eli?

Hello My 4th Cousin Elizabeth!
I am pretty slow on the uptake, but I finally put an email with a name..."Hello my 4th Cousin Elizabeth!"

Here's hoping our kids (and their kids, too) enjoy our research into the Shaner Family Ancestry!
