RE: William King photo request
Hi Julie. As you may already know, Gardner Cemetery in Kane County is pretty tiny. It sits in the middle of a cornfield, as do many of the rural Illinois cemeteries. I couldn't find any one person who "manages" it. Here is a link that might be helpful.

http://www.kanevilletownship.com/cemetery_district.htm

Or maybe try the funeral home who did his service. I'm sure they could direct you to the right place.

Arrangements handled through Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding (243-1525)

Good luck in your search.

William King photo request
Hello. I'm sort of new at getting these photo requests. I made the trip out to the Gardner Cemetery this morning, and as another person reported, there doesn't seem to be a William King there. I looked at the obituary, and I am wondering if its possible that William might be buried in the Braceville-Gardner cemetery just outside of Gardner, IL? Just a thought.

I had seen the obit for him but you already posted a bio - didn't want you to think it wasn't enough. It's great you posted both =]

They probably had him moved here. I am seeing new burials, where the veteran have passed many years ago. Thank you Dee

Hi Julie,
The information is probably correct, but it is usally customary not to use rank unless he died while in service. I don't think he did, but if you want to keep it, that is up to you.

When I last looked there was no memorial for my uncle Peter, or one for his wife. I will gladly post the Patriot Guard info when I get back to my home computer today or tomorrow. I have been working on linking all the siblings, so yes I would like to keep my memorial. Adeline is my mother, I will add the obit ..currently taking care of my 96 year old dad so that was on the back burner, as well as a few others. Thanks for contacting me.

Not a problem. I live within walking distance of the cemetery. If you find out when he is actually buried with a headstone, let me know and I will get the picture.

re: Ina Tandy Photo Request
Just to let you know. It will probably take another week before I can get the photo as the marker has not had her year of death attached. A work order had been created on May 6th. She is with her husband and son, Patrick, on one marker.

Small glitch in the edit process. If request for parents is made and then accepted, then another request is made for a wife, it will then show the parents as unknown. When the wife is accepted, the parents are then deleted. Try to add all links in one edit suggestion. Not sure why this happens. Just an FYI.

I also invited the person who included the son in Find A Grave to link the family. I have dealt with the lady on several occasions and I know she will link the family.

Thank you for helping to get the family together.

Julie, I have a thing about keeping families linked together. I wonder if you would add Bette Jean Hartley Find A Grave# 75886560 and son Joshua Find A Grave #84468014 to Lawrence Hartley's memorial. Lawrence's Find A Grave memorial number is 127975668.

Thank you, D. O'Donnell

Bailey's
I did some of the links you had request (to the father). As to Emery and Unknown, yes I had a typo, it has been corrected. They are not in the same plot. I am not sure who is the "Unknown" Bailey. My best guess is, yes, it is probably Maria. But at this time I am not confident. Need to do a bit more poking around. Union Cemetery is 83% done. I plan on coming up with a list and finish it up this summer, that includes (hopefully) unmarked graves. It is a big cemetery, with a lot of walking around. I'd like to wait a bit and physically go back and check the plots. I'd contact Flandreau City Hall, they are the official cemetery sextons. They may have better knowledge to the ID. Also, the Moody County Historic Society will do research (I think for a fee). They will also have better access to obtaining an obit that may lead to better clues and information. Hope that helps.

35319351 for Grizel Chapman
Chapmans are a big part of my heritage, and am working to get information updated and cited.

On the memorial, her death date is 1-10-1754. However, the tombstone says JUNE 10, 1754.

Just wondering if there is a reason for the difference? Could you check into this?

Thanks.

Charles H. Phillips 91377812
At this time I do not feel comfortable linking Charles to the parents you have listed, Ezra and Catherine Phillips. Calvin the oldest son (of Ezra and Catherine) was born March 3, 1936 and Charles was born December 1936. Ezra had another living child by the name Charles F. living during the same time period as Charles from Flandreau. While it is not impossible, I am just not seeing the connection at this time. If you have further information such as a death or birth certificate showing the parents names please add that to his page so others will also be able to follow the sources as well.
