RE: Lee's Cemetery
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I am discovering that there are actually 2 cemeteries literally 5-10 feet away from each other. I created a listing for the Lee Cemetery and added all those graves. It's the Matheny/Rowan cemetery that I am confused about because there is a sign with that name on it and it is roped off and separate from the other one. I haven't gotten around to adding the "Rowan" memorials yet, but will probably just create the cemetery based on the sign.

You mentioned a house that was "hanging" on the side of the mountain. There is a gray house that is still standing that fits your description but it is on the right as you go up the "mountain" and the cemetery is on the left. I'm not familiar with any other houses.

I've got pictures of all the headstones and will add photos to the memorials that you created (if you want me to).

Thanks again.

Lee's Cemetery
Are you the creator of Lee's Cemetery listed as Lee's, Procious, Clay County, WV? I stumbled upon this cemetery today and am confused about the Rowan Cemetery right next to it...literally 4 feet away. I'd like to create memorials and add pictures of people I believe are related to one of the people whose memorial you created (#71604651 for reference). I don't know if the Rowan cemetery is separate or part of the Lee cemetery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can enter a Photo Request for any memorial--you don't have to be the Original Contributor or the person maintaining it...

I just wanted to ask if it would be ok with you if I used shaving cream on the headstone of William and Roxanna, and William's original headstone. They are both in good shape it's just hard to read them.

RE: Orpha Meddles Stein
My husband is related through the Meddles family. I am trying to pull all the Meddles family together and have found that all the Meddles' I've found in Ohio are related through one couple from Pennslyvania. Do you know anyone in Orpha's family that I might contact to ask about photos of ancestors? Thanks for any help.

You're right - even on the Marriage Records page there is no date or pastor listed Usually there's a note 'No Return' if the wedding didn't happen; not sure what went on here.

I don't know the reason Sallie was buried with her first husband, unless she also wanted to be buried with her children. Just a guess.

Sallie was my mother's great aunt; her grandfather's sister.

Looks like there are requests for the photos; sure hope someone in Chicago comes thru!

RE: Isaac Counts
Here's a little twist for ya. It appears the same Leroy Mayfield that Sally Hershberger married had a son from a previous marriage, Alexander Mayfield (1899-1978), who married Hallie G. Counts (1903-1988) d/o of Isaac & Sally Hershberger Counts.

Leroy Mayfield is buried at Mary Osborne Cemetery, Clendenin, Kanawha, WV; Sally is buried at Wunders Cemetery in Chicago, Cook, IL, along with Isaac & Violet Counts, Rennie Counts, Effie L. Counts.

RE: Isaac Counts
Hi Ruth, I feel certain that the Sally N. and Sarah W. Hershberger are both my aunt since she went by 'Sally". Not sure about Sally Frome? I'd love the picture you have of Isaac and Viola - do you know her maiden name?

Stein family
Uploaded pictures of the markers for Carl, John Edward, and Orpha. I wonder if you have a photograph of Bob that you might be able to scan and upload? I made memorials some time ago for some of his maternal family, would you like me to transfer those to you? I am no relation. The pattern of loss in poor Bob's mother's family is overwhelming.
