I realize the generation thing after sending that. The line is Peter who was the father of Emil George who was the father of Emil Christian. Tis well documented but no big deal.

Carlos Augustine "Carl" Gould is my grand uncle.
I have some info I would like to add to his memorial.
Could you please transfer maintenance to me?

Thank you for transferring this memorial to my care. I have updated his bio info. Even our bachelor and spinster ancestors have affected our lives, so it is an honor to be able to tell his story as the first permanent settler in Port Byron, Rock Island Co., IL.

I would like Jos. transferred over to myself. He would be my 4th grand uncle as brother of my 4th gr grandfather, John B. Cain mar. to Anna Myers.
The d. dates match but not the b. dates by a year.
I have to do more checking but I have a small rolling pin that was made by him and given to his niece, Sarah Cain Marshall. The lineage is on a folded & well worn piece of paper.

I would like for Ephraim to be transferred over to myself. I believe there is an error in b. date as to be 1827 as he married Jane Hart and raised their family in Hillsdale, IL
He would have been the brother of my 3rd gr grandmother, Sarah Cain Marshall. Ephraim would have been the eldest born to John & Anna Myers Cain and moved west with his parents.

Hi Paula! Would love to have better photos of these headstones if you still have time to retake them. In particular I'd love to know the inscription at the bottom for the two infants and if there is one on Lizzie's that I could not make out due to the snow. They are very near the flagpole at the cemetery. I will not likely make it back to Illinois from Texas anytime soon! Thanks so much! Heather

Thanks, Paula. You are doing a great job!
