I saw your post on Jane's page. I had requested photos of headstones from Glen Abbey. I've been researching the Sanford/Coon lines for a number of years.

Thank you, I will check out your trees when I tackle these graves again! :) I did a little research when I was trying to understand the relationships, and it did seem to be a group of people with very complicated connections ... and as I recall, more marriages than appear on the memorials! Since I am not related (I was just trying to make sense of graves and names and where others might be buried), I won't be adding any additional marriages or anything, but I did find the family confusing! I'll try again, and your trees will probably help ... or I will draw some diagrams for myself, perhaps. ;)

|Tammy ||RE: Rachel Harrod Lane|
I would like to communicate with you privately. Please email me at tamra (at) tamrawilson.com
I have a great deal of information about the Lanes, in particular. I have reason to believe that Rachel may have been a "Harwood." I do not think that the couple could be her parents as she was born 1782 and the John Harrod you mention was born 1770.

I assume that you are a descendant of Rachel's. I am as well and have been trying for years to prove who her parents were. I have reason to believe that she and/or her parents likely came from Anne Arundel County, MD. Would like to exchange info.

I entered the two Cabrals because there were two different listings for him in the cemetery. However, because I do not have a picture of WM, I shall have to go over to the cemetery and find out why I don't.

|Jo Williams||Lane Family in Frankfort KS|
Thank you for sending me the information on the Lane family at the Frankfort Cemetery. I have updated the profiles that you request but I do have one question.
Do you know if Paul Wendell Lane is a child of Henry & Addie? He is buried right by the rest of them but was a child when he passed away so probably didn't so up on any census. I thought maybe if you had family records he might be listed in them.
I will be glad to add him as their child if we know for sure.

|Natalie Herdman||Jacob M. Benadum|
To further complicate Hannah Benadum's story, I just found a burial for Jacob M. Benadum (son of M. & H., died Nov. 28, 1848; aged 28 days) in Old Basil Cemetery. If he is, as the inscription suggests, the son of Mathias and Hannah, then he was born and died BEFORE they were married. So now I'm wondering if Hannah was dying anyway from complications from recently having a child (maybe puerperal fever), and she asked Mathias to marry her before she did. That would explain why her death and marriage date are the same. Of course, this Jacob M. Benadum may be the son of a completely different "M. & H." Once I'm able to finish photographing the cemetery, I can see if the stones are even in proximity to each other.

By the way, send me your email address if you'd like me to send attachments of Mathias Benadum's marriage records.

I didn't even catch that! Unfortunately, however, it's correct. I have an original copy of the marriage record that gives the date of 21 Dec 1848. The cemetery book gives that as her death date also, but I'll have to see the actual stone to confirm. I wonder what the story is behind this!

|Natalie Herdman||RE: Anna/Mathias Benadum|
I finally received the Liberty Twp. Cemetery book in the mail (it's been missing from the library for almost a year). Mathias Benadum is in Old Basil Cemetery (see: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Benadum&GSiman=1&GScid=2270905&GRid=83079142&)
I entered all the Benadums from the book, but I still have about a quarter of this cemetery to photograph, so there might be more. The book lists 3 partly illegible stones next to John & Nancy Benadum, and one of them might be Anna Dove Benadum's. The death dates for two of them are 1856 and 1863, so it's probably not those, but the other one is a possiblity. I'll hopefully know for sure when I photograph it.
If you'd like me to look up any other Benadums in the township, just let me know.

According to the online Cemetery Index for Fairfield County, Mathias Benadum was buried in Liberty Twp. Unfortunately, that cemetery book has been missing from the Library for some time, so I can't look him up. A good possibility is Baltimore Methodist Episcopal Cemetery (also known as Geohagen Cemetery) which is in the eastern part of Baltimore, east of Granville St. (see http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GSln=benadum&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSst=37&GScnty=2062&GScntry=4&GSob=n&CRid=2361523&df=all&pt=Baltimore%20Methodist%20Episcopal-Geohagen%20Cemetery&). That cemetery isn't far from me, so I can take a look if you'd like.

I will be happy to get the photo but would request you call and get the location if you can. There is no office on site, the park and rec has that info. ask for Lesa.
