RE: Ethel H. Rose
Hi Terri,

I'm so sorry it took 2 months to write back! I do not live near the cemetery anymore. I'm sorry that I cannot help you.

Violet Billie Rose
This has been a puzzle. Finally found a Goldie Violet Rose but the dates do not match. The lady is much older. Could it be a relative?

Albert Burnham
Grave of Zenoveda Escamillo
Greetings Terri,

I am the volunteer grave researcher for Concordia Heritage Association in El Paso. The Association helps people find graves in Concordia Cemetery. I noticed your Find A Grave request for Zenoveda Escamillo. We can possibly find the gravesite, but there is a procedure to follow. If you go to the Concordia Cemetery website, fill out the grave request form, submit the form either online or by mail, and include a ten dollar tax deductible donation (which can be done by Pay Pal if you submit the request online, or by check if by mail), we can proceed. The money collected from donations is used for cemetery expenses such as upkeep and security. Just a note of warning, the Association does not guarantee that a gravesite will be found. Many graves in Concordia do not have headstones, and other headstones are not readable due to weathering. Let us know if you choose to use our services. Thank you very much.

The information you received from Semper Dad, I believe that is his Find A Grave name, is incomplete and incorrect. Quite frankly, you will never find the grave from the incomplete and incorrect info he gave you.

RE: Gideon Gifford
Hi Terri, I discovered a duplicate memorial for Gideon while I was looking at this. I'm going to see if I can delete my memorial #117541732 and let Catherine link to #123655261. Thanks!

RE: Gideon Gifford
Hi Terri, According to the notes I have, it's 9610 Parker Branch Road. I believe it's in Macon County. The Veterans Gravesites doc I found in Ancestry, says it's in Lafayette, TN 37083. Google maps is not very helpful. There is a picture of the sign in the cemetery page for Gann-Gifford Cemetery in Macon, TX in Find-A-Grave. I hope that helps.

Evergreen Cemetery
Hi Terri,
No.. not cataloguing Evergreen. I just love how historic it is (so many interesting people!), and my gg. grandmother and gr.-grand-aunt are buried there. Sometimes, when I'm there, I just take photos of everyone around where they're buried.
Best regards,

Francisca Ayala
Hi Terri,
Yes, I agree... It is a fairly common name, but wanted you to know 'just in case'. I'll go ahead and make a memorial for her, then.

Francisca Ayala
Hi Terri...
What makes you think there is no headstone for Francisca?
Two wks. ago, I found a grave marker for a Francisca Ayala... but the dates are 1882-1969.
Could this be the same person?
:-) Best regards,
Chloe Perdew

I haven't had a chance to check out the cemetery records in Bluejacket but have walked the entire cemetery many times. I thought they would be close after finding the other two but I never did find them. Will keep looking for them each time I go. I keep a list of those I didn't find just in case I stumble on to them or find the stone covered with dirt and grass.

Your comment

My great great grandfather is William Valentine McClellan married to Lucinda Akers and I believe he is the son of Hugh McClellan and Mary Polly McCall.

Searching the LDS Family search I cannot find a William married to Lucinda. The only child listed under Hugh and Mary named William died at two days old.

I googled and found your post on Roots web. I can't find even what info you have to tie into it.

I will keep searching

Laura's husband was Hyrum Hanford Whipple. Could you link her to him (# 17296170). I don't know why the obituary doesn't mention their marriage.

The Utah death certificates for both Almeda Day and Elsie lists the husband as William C. McClellan.

RE: William Carroll and James McClellan

My information is that William Carroll McClellan had two wives, Almeda Day and Elsie Jane Richardson. Both of their headstone photos are on findagrave.

I've not seen the Seventy Quorum document you mention. I guess that what you're finding is the conflict. Several biographies mention that William Carrol McClellan "In April 1857 was ordained a president of the 46th quorum of Seventies". So, could it this be the 46th quorum, instead of 1846?

Here is one such link:
