RE: Samuel and Rhoda Hancock
Hey, Could you do me a favor? I noticed the picture of the Hancock cemetery in Floyd County there were more graves then what was listed. Could you please go too the cemetery and transcribe it the names of everyone buried there and pictures of there stones. It didn't look too me like there was a whole lot of people buried there. But I think I might have more kin buried there.

Herman's & Stovers
Hi Jack-
Not related to the Herman's or Stovers, but my ancestors lived in the same county as them. I am acquainted with a Stover - we are members of the same DAR chapter. She may have some information for you.

Thanks Jack
I didn't know about the DeHart stones, Very sad. A mystery we need to solve and link with their families.
I will ask my Mom if she knows who the two Dehart children are. Did you take photos of the DeHart stones?

Hi Jack
Did you take stone photos at this cemetery, I was wondering if I needed to make a trip there or if you had them.
Thanks so much

Re: Lora
Hi Jack, I've often thought the same thing when the stone is this way. For my own family's, I have done one with the family name showing and usually you can't see who "they" are, so I send two, with both showing "proof" of what the request wants. I really don't know exactly how others do it. I just take the photo as if it was for my family... For me, I like to be able to "prove" existence on my Ancestry, especially on the older.....hmmm....interments(?)

So, however you chose to do it will work for me...has worked for me. I am appreciative that you care enough to ask, but then, I have also found that people who request AND take photos are pretty nice people!

People who request, are investing in their future family members and those willing to wander out in cemeteries to fulfill these requests UNDERSTAND exactly that!

Life is an adventure! ...and we only have today.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Carolyn
